cake poker part of prima?

Re: cake poker part of prima?

Its their own network.

Weak, but PT doesnt work there which means game selection is also very weak

Yes

Competition is pretty soft. I have rakeback and it works great, you can check raked hands and rakeback earned right in the software (at least through the affiliate I signed up with, I've heard some don't work like this).

Everything about Cake is good except their software which is pretty awful.

Software is horrible when you are used to Stars or Tilt.

for a multi-tabler the software sucks balls. The screen does not pop up when the action is on you, so if youre multi-tabling you have to be constantly checking all the tables. In addition, the tables are not resizable, and there is serious overlap for almost all monitors. All of that said, however, the games are soft (just not plentiful) and the do have a $500 100% sign up bonus which is solid and not impossible to work off

The games are so soft that the crappy software doesn't bother me at all.

Primarily, 1/2NL-2/4NL, there are usually 4-5 1/2 games going during the day and 1-3 2/4 and that number almost doubles at night. Add 100% Bonus + 33% Rakeback and a very unique gold card and gold chip system and it might get the majority of my ring traffic. Tournaments are not that bad, the play is atrocious at times, you will get sucked out on a lot more than other sites, but I've never seen anywhere in my 4 years where I've gotten more money in ahead so easily. It gets frustrating trying to get people off hands, but when you flop a set, you will get called down by top pair 7 kicker.

If this is the worst that's going on now they must have massively overhauled their software. I played there from March-June and right before I quit it was pretty much unplayable due to lag and various bugs.

Please stay away from cake. It sucks. Really. No need for 2+2 nits to start showing up there. Theres noting to see here, move along.

Re: cake poker part of prima?

Cake is not different than any other site with respect to crappy players, table selection is where its at. The only difference is that their software sucks if you multitable...

Re: cake poker part of prima?

Cake still freezes on me constantly. Fortunately I've mastered ending the process and restarting it before my hand gets times out.

BTW Cake is nothing special anymore. It was great a year ago, but too many 2p2ers found out about it and now it's about the same as any other site. Only reason I still play there is for the rakeback.
