3bet flop shove 200BB deep HU
 

The match has been playing fairly aggressive, there have been a ton of 3bets preflop from both players, so my 3bet certainly doesn't mean a big hand it could be anything from an SC to AA. However SB's 3bet calling range has been somewhat narrow even as we have gotten deep. Also in 3bet pots the play has been pretty tame with no 3bet hand going to showdown yet. Early on in the match I was getting the better of SB but SB has made a comeback lately and it's been back and forth the last 20 minutes or so.

If you were SB what would you need to call this shove? SB also used his timebank before raising, and I instashoved, how does that affect your decision?

I call any hand I raise the flop with. TT+ and good FDs or something.

Wow. Sb to call 200x bb!

Probably a3, 44... Why gamble with 99 when he could have 1010, 1010 to JJ, 77 to 88, etc. But sometimes you will get lucky, but why not wait for a better opportunity, it seems that the biggest pots and overplayed hands are on these boards.

But im sure it was something like his 1010 against your 99. Aks against your 88 etc.

Yea, my feeling was the break-even point was somewhere in the JJ/TT area from OP description.

If I was SB I'd call this shove with any 3 obv, A2ss, 56ss, or QQ+. Lemme guess, he called it with like 77 or 88 and you had a big draw and you blanked? lol

I won this hand, but villain said he had QQ while he was thinking after I shoved and then he mucked. At the time I thought it was pretty bad to raise w/QQ than fold and this thread confirmed that. I also don't think he has to felt QQ 200BB deep but I would think if you raise this flop it's to enduce a shove from an aggro player.

When he tanked and raised I didn't think he was nearly this strong (thought a bluff or maybe 55-99), so I decided I was shoving my entire range.

What do you guys think of my play as a bluff?

Quite awfull. He should not raise/fold any real hands imo, so you're basically counting on him bluffing here a ton and given your description of villain and the flow of the game that's not very likely.

I forgot to include in the last 10 minutes or so he seemingly gained confidence and been playing more aggro and showed a couple of bluffs, 1 in a big pot.

your bluff is terrible since he shoudlnt be raising the flop with any made hand this deep unless he wants to felt. he should be felting JJ+ at the very least as well as all fds. folding qq here is terrible headsup and will get you overrun by anyone aggro

i like this with a hand like Aks or KQs. i don't like it with a mid-pocket pair.
