PS 6.50 - Folding JJ as overpair L3

Hi,

Villain is 18/8 over about 40 hands and is playing on 2/4 of my tables. I know not many hands for his stats but does his check-raise make this an easy fold?

i go broke here. 18/8 is not that tight.

john, thats reasonable tag, what decent range can you put villain on here that make going broke here ok?

I can`t see what we beat here if he is a "solid" player

55-99
AT, ATs KTs
AJ-AK

villian is unknown and more often than not their range is much wider than one would think. i would consider 12/7 more tag stats, but with such a small sample of hands i am not too worried about stats, i would go more with the read that villian is unknown.

i would obviouosly be worried if villian was a known solid/winning player.

its a 6.50 hero raises all in, makes note if villain shows qq-aa.

we have no indication that he is a solid player.

also, i just noticed this is $6.5, this is a really easy shove imo.

Lol yea I was expecting the "its a 6.50" responses and I normally do go broke here all the time.

Jon,

I agree those stas aren't too tight but 55-99, AJ+ don't seem like a large part of his range once he CRs.

If I give him a range on flop after he check-raises that is slightly looser than a regular/solid player of AT, KT, TT+ I'm behind and have to fold right?

if you knew his range was AT KT TT+ folding would be a mistake. assuming he never folds when you push and never has AK 99, etc, then:

you need to put in another 1135 to win a pot 3045 = 37%

your JJ has 46.2% equity on that board vs the above range (TT+, KT, AT).

If youre including KT and AT in his range then he isnt very solid. That makes me more inclined to shove.

i like a shove in this spot, any 10 most underpairs and even hands like AK probably call

if you dont call here you shouldnt call preflop.

If it was A10 or K10, would he really be waiting to check-raise?

I don't know dick, but don't this kind of smell like Fancy Play Syndrome AA or KK?
