tourney brag - biggest comeback of all time?

wondering what the biggest comeback is, i.e. more specifically, the lowest amount of chips someone is at who then goes on to win.

This was on WPEX. With 20 people left (about 130 to start, 18 places paid) I get all in AK vs AQ and lose, and am left with 153 chips.

Through a series of lucky double-ups (and still a lot of ups and downs from that point on) and blind steals, I go on to win the tournament for a cool 1900.

Just the fact that I had 153 chips and then had like 7000 on the bubble was mind-boggling enough to me, let alone the final table...and then to win, well, that was something.

Umm back in 2005 on party I had 200 chips left (SS was 1000 back then?) 20+2 buy-in 1000 players. I ended up winning.

Re: tourney brag - biggest comeback of all time?

Back in party days, I had the sickest comeback ever. This made entirely possible by people folding preflop getting > 50:1 odds to call my all-in.

$22 2-table, 20 players. With 18 left I don't remember exactly what happened (maybe I got it in with like TPTK against an overpair or something to that effect), but from the starting stack of 2000, I was down to 92 chips. That's right, 92. Blinds were 25/50. I came back to win.

Along those lines,

I was playing a guy in a heads up SnG and got him down to 1 chip. I then doubled him up 9 hands in a row aipf to get him up to 512, and then sucked out on him hardcore to take him out. He almost had the greatest comeback of all time.

There is a HH/video where bigjoe is down to 15 chips at 100/200/25 in a 1k SNG with like 5 or 6 people left and he ends up winning it.

There is also the semi-apocryphal story of Jack Straus

Please answer these two questions and then think about your answer:

(1) How many double ups does it take to get from 1 chip to 2 chips?

(2) 2^1 = ?
