WSOP on ESPN Thread (9/11 - Day 3)

Know nothing about it, but discuss.

Do we get to see RainKhan wearing a chair on his head in these episodes?

Re: WSOP on ESPN Thread (9/11 - Day 3)

He's at the featured table most of the day, I know that much.

What's the rule on spoilers on these threads? The updates were flying pretty fast back when it happened.

Re: WSOP on ESPN Thread (9/11 - Day 3)

Since we know what happened already, I don't think there's as much of a problem regarding posting spoilers in the thread.

Re: WSOP on ESPN Thread (9/11 - Day 3)

Okay then. If I have which day this is correct, Khan sits at the featured table most of the day, gets taunted by a deaf guy, gets beat up for a bit, and then a huge hand where he gets all in with QQ against AA and flops quads.

Re: WSOP on ESPN Thread (9/11 - Day 3)

does said deaf guy happen to be greased up?

Re: WSOP on ESPN Thread (9/11 - Day 3)

Don't know about being "greased". Khan doubled him up when Khan raised his blind and then called his all-in with Ax. Don't have my notebook in front of me, but deaf guy had a big pair and avoided an ace, and once he'd won the hand, put his foot up on the table and pretended to be reeling Khan in like a big fish.

lol @ Lon saying short stacks have to be more selective.

Re: WSOP on ESPN Thread (9/11 - Day 3)

LOL@ "Saw Chris Ferguson yesterday, he seemed pretty good." Robert took a nice chunk of his stack with the AK vs. JJ hand.

Re: WSOP on ESPN Thread (9/11 - Day 3)

Why even show that hand?

aceskay 09-11-2007 08:09 PM

Re: WSOP on ESPN Thread (9/11 - Day 3)

Of all the hands they could have shown form an entire day's worth of poker, they show Gus Hansen v. Gavin Smith where they both check it down with nothing?

WTF

Gus Hansen and Gavin checking down a hand = once in a decade happening

Is it just me or is Norm Chad more annoying this year compared to past years?

Maybe I've just been able to tolerate him for some reason up to this point, but he's really getting to me.

Ugh. Ron Kluber. He goes deep. Suckout artist and very confident in his abilities... as were his railbirds. He works in Korea and won his seat by winning the Korean Pro Poker Tour championship, thus the t-shirt.

Re: WSOP on ESPN Thread (9/11 - Day 3)

Why are they showing so many meaningless hands?

This is absurd.

I remember him too, thought he'd have updated his sunglass collection since then.

Because he's loud, annoying and will probably be featured in the next episodes.

One episode he was close to being eliminated and he started rifling through his sunglasses collection to make as many sunglasses changes as possible while he still had air time. It was sad.

No mentions of dentists please. Reminds me of Cory Zeidman's ungodly story about why he slow rolled Jen Harman during the final table.
