I ask this b/c I just watched one of the worst movies I've seen in the last 5 years of my life called Harsh Times. It was truly an excruciatingly painful experience even with all the latina ass caught in the middle.

srsly this dude is overrated

there is a new movie called Rescue Dawn that I just saw based on a real story of a pilot getting shot down in veitnam and it was an awesome movie, and ya before he blew up American sycho was the [censored]

I agree that Harsh Times was [censored] terrible. One of the worst most boring movie ive like ever seen. I prob watched like 95% and couldnt even bother watching like the last 10 minutes. I dont think I have ever before watched that much of a movie and not want to see how it ends.

But Christian Bale still makes a hell of a lot more stone pimp movies.

That was a kick ass movie. While the plot/movie and such was not incredibly original/inventive, etc., the fight scenes w/ gun kata or whatever were truely awesome.

Christian Bale isn't that bad. Neither was Harsh Times. And Batman Begins was the 2nd best Batman movie yet.

Harsh Times kinda reminded me of that terrible Vin Deisel movie called A Man Apart where a DEA agent's wife gets killed and he goes on a rampage.

That being said, at least that story had some kind of plot, harsh times had zero plot, less plot than Friday (not knocking friday, a classic black comedy no pun intended), it was def a bad movie but I've seen worse...like The 6th day or Shooter, both much worse.

I agree that the movies you listed weren't masterpieces, but certainly delivered on the entertainment part witch is the main reason I watch movies. Btw, Shooter & Harsh Times both got decent scores @ imdb (~7.2)

Like, I totally said that, like, Brad Pitt was so totally like overrated and stuff, 'cause he was, like, not a good actor. I bought the Harsh Times DVD without seeing the movie first because it was by the director of Training Day and Christian Bale was in it (Eva too maybe, not for acting so much though, so I thought it couldn't be bad and could be pretty awesome. I was wrong, its really bad. Every one of his other movies that I have seen is awesome though.

You should check him out in The Machinist, which overall I didn't think was anything special, but he literally weighs like 105 lbs in that movie- actually pretty gross to look.

Compare that to how ripped he was in American Psycho and Batman Begins, and it gives you a sense of his dedication to his craft. He gets props from me.
