New tool for Tableselection on Everest Poker

Hi.

EverestEye, a tableselection utility for Everest Poker is ready for a first public test.

EverestEye is a windows program that makes pokertable selection easy and fast on Everest Poker.
The main feature of EverestEye is to be able display the list of the players sitting at a poker table, their statistics, as well as the tables averages, without having to open the table window.

A small guide on how to configure your databases with EverestEye can be found here:
http://www.spadeit.com/vguide.php

Download:
http://www.spadeit.com/vindex.php

It would be nice to get some feedback (working or not).

Thanks

Hello Mr Stood,
Found great this new tool but can't use it. When I click on "scan selected tables", an error message occured :
Code=80040e4e
Code meaning= IDispatch error #3150
Source= Microsoft OLE Provider for ODCB Drivers

EverestEye seems unable to open my PT DB (access type configuration). PostgreSQL is not yet installed, maybe it's better.

Re: New tool for Tableselection on Everest Poker

Hi.

The "Scan selected tables" button seem to be buggy i guess.

Is the "Scan All Tables" button working for you and getting statistics out of your database?

What values have you put under "main"->"options"->"databases" in EverestEye?
Especially the file you point to under "Database" is important.

A sample video on configuring Access databases can be seen here:
http://www.spadeit.com/access.wmv

Well it takes forever to scan the tables so i would like to just scan like the suva tables how do you prevent it from scanning also the dili and such?
And it only gives info on the players that are in the database?

Hi Mr snood, thanks a lot for looking into everest.

You are probably expecting this but : -Datamining should be on the top priority list for everest eye.
Without it this tool loses much of its utility, nice anyway.

Also, I'm considering buying both ipoker eye and everest eye, will i be able to use them on both my PC and my laptop? Or do i have to buy them twice?

Edit: Ok i installed it and here are my first problems:
I entered the details of my main database correctly i believe (has about 20k hands of 5/10 everest) but when i scan all tables it does not use any of the info from my database, it only returns the average pot, number of players, their name and stacks. Basically only gives me the info from everest.

I'll keep looking into it but i don't see where i could have missed something.

Re: New tool for Tableselection on Everest Poker

Ok for no reason whatsoever the scan started working, slowly, each scan recognizing more players (not due to DB growth).
So, apparently i'm fine.

I think it did a similar thing when i first installed ipoker eye.

A small bug i found now is:
After changing the option to have doubleclick left mouse button on a table to only put me on waitlist. It doesn't work, and i wouldn't be surprised it's because their waitlist window is pretty wierd/stupid.

Do not use the "join waiting list" feature of EverestEye.

It's indeed not working and i disbelief that i ever will

Great soft but it seems that there is a bug concerning the stack sizes and the average pot... People have stacks of 15k at 2/4 NL and the average pot is sometimes over 10k...

Re: New tool for Tableselection on Everest Poker

Thanks for the information.
-Which struct (fullring, shorthanded)?

- Can you give me some example numbers?
I guess the dividing dot between dollar and cent is missing for some combinations of numbers?
- Or is this a permanent error for all stacksizes?

Re: New tool for Tableselection on Everest Poker

I have that same problem with SH. It is a permanent error (avr pot and stack sizes). I beleive the dot is simply missing since the numbers make sense.

Will it be possible to datamine Everest with this program? If so, I'm buyin right now. That tool will be very useful. Tks.

Re: New tool for Tableselection on Everest Poker

Unfortunately there are no plans to add datamining to EverestEye at this time.

It may be possible to reconstruct the handhistory from the chat, but it would be way harder than e.g. on iPoker.

I will take the time to investigate this in about 4 weeks.

karmakamikaze 09-06-2007 07:26 PM

Re: New tool for Tableselection on Everest Poker

Glad to hear you will investigate this matter eventually.

Is there a way to only scan tables for a specific limit? I'm trying to use everestEye but scanning at peak hours take a lot of time and I'm only interested in a fraction of the tables scanned. I already have 6 max and NL filters on but can't find any for a specific limit.

Thanks

Re: New tool for Tableselection on Everest Poker

You can use the Everest lobbys "custom list" to scan specific stakes and structs.

Re: New tool for Tableselection on Everest Poker

Hi,

Great idea!

I'm trying to use it, it scans the tables fine. But if I click Scan All Tables it seems that it doesn't retrieve any player names. Any suggestions?

How do you retrieve the names of the players? Do you use image recognition, since everest uses non-standard controls for that kinda stuff...

Thanks.

Pomtidom 09-12-2007 06:03 PM

Re: New tool for Tableselection on Everest Poker

Ok. I've been looking around a bit and apparantly you do use image recognition to scan for the names. I've set font smoothing to Standard as you mention on your site.

Here's a screenshot of my lobby, I think the fonts look like they're supposed to look:
http://82.161.88.50/everest.poker.png

I've written a AHK-script myself to scan for the names in the lobby and retrieve some stats, one problem I encountered was that some people use other Windows themes which causes the titlebar to differ in height. This caused the script to use a different place to retrieve the letters. I don't know if this is the case with the language you are using (I'm assuming C#)...

Re: New tool for Tableselection on Everest Poker

Hi.

Please make sure you are using version 1.05:
http://www.spadeit.com/vdownload.php

Everything looks fine. Especially if you are able to retrieve the tablenames.

It is correct that due to different windows themes the titlebar and window borders always have a different size.
I am aware of this problem and EverestEye should be able to handle different windows themes.
So i am a bit clueless, if you are already using version 1.05.

Edit: What operating system are you using?

Re: New tool for Tableselection on Everest Poker

Please give it a try with the testversion 1.05b:
http://www.spadeit.com/EverestEye.zip

Just replace your old EverestEye executable with the one from the zip file.

Re: New tool for Tableselection on Everest Poker

The problem is the Everest client renders its userinterface to the screen. So the colors are always slightly different on every computer (e.g. blue is not always blue)...
I gave it a bigger threshold.

Do not use the "join waiting list" feature of EverestEye.

[/ QUOTE ]
Can't you send clicks to the Everest Lobby to get on the waiting list? Like when you 'Open' a table, the program first searches the table and then opens it. Maybe you can search for the table and then send a mouseclick to Join waiting list?

Also, I've looked into datamining on Everest but that would be virtually impossible to achieve. So many roadblocks.

Do you know what setting makes it different on every computer?

I'm definitely buying this but it would be a pain for you if I have to get a different version each time. I only use this installation for poker anyway so I don't mind changing any settings.

I tried the original version on my laptop too, by the way. No luck.

[edit]
Ok, after thinking a bit (after posting ) I figured the setting that made the most sense was color depth. Mine was set to 16-bit. Changing this to 32-bit made the original version work. Hope this helps.

Re: New tool for Tableselection on Everest Poker

Yes. Datamining would be really a pain...

The main problem with the "join waiting list" feature is, that i am unable to run it.
I have no realmoney account on Everest.
So i simply don't know what happens when pressing the "waiting list" button in the Everest cient.
This makes i hard for me to code any further steps

I guess every graphic card renders the userinterface slightly different. Using 16 or 32-bit desktop colordepth is also important at that point, but you don't need to care.
You will not need an extra version for every computer.
I raised the "error threshold" with version 1.05b (which is now the official 1.05 on the homepage).
So it should work now on every computer, i hope

Re: New tool for Tableselection on Everest Poker

I see.

After clicking the button "Join Waiting List" this screen appears:
http://82.161.88.50/everest.waitinglist.png

So clicking the Join Waiting List button, and then the OK button should be enough.

PM me if you need more help.

Hey,

I wanted to buy your everesteye software so I filled in the forms on your website. I also transferred $30 to you using Neteller on wednesday, but I still haven't received a registration code (Machinecode: 'VIOJ-FFMI-LE'). My email adress is [email protected] and my Neteller ID is 451123329094. The transaction ID was: 8023324.
Can you tell me when I get my registration code?

Thanks,

Maarten
