What does Gabe Thaler do the rest of the week?
 

I know there are 50-100 NL games Wednesdays and Saturdays at the Venetian. But other than that, the Bellagio 10-20 NL is the biggest regular NL game in Vegas, and AFAIK he doesn't play in that game. What do high stakes NL cash game grinders like Gabe Thaler do the rest of the week? Go to Commerce? Follow the tourney circuit for the cash games?

If he makes 2 BB per hour ( pretty good for live because its slow and can't multitable, that would be 400 an hour. If he plays 10 hours a week, thats 4000 a week. Which is roughly 200,000 a year. Thats pretty sweet.

Also, i bet he plays fantasy baseball and wins like all of his leagues. He's a former catcher, you know.

The catcher stuff comes from one of the circuit events he made the FT at...ESPN did some segment on him being a catcher

I would assume he could make somewhere from 5-7 BB/100 in these games. I say that never having played at the ventian so take that for what it's worth. I'm assuming with this guess that the game is shorthanded at some times and there are also some very big fish that play in the games.

Hmmm, yeah I think all former good (but non-professional) baseball players are all crushing their fantasy league. wtf? Why would you conclude this? I mean it may be true but it's just funny that you would think this.

I mean, I could just assume he's coaching little league in Vegas, because he used to be a decent catcher.
