2+2: Name My Baby!

Brag: Just had a baby girl.
Beat: None.
Variance: Me and my wife can't agree on a name.

We've narrowed it down to three choices but we each have a different favorite. My wife has agreed to let 2+2 choose the girl's name. Comments are welcome.

Not really, I was following a thread that got moved here from somewhere else and was checking in. Nothing against you all, it's just the last thing I need is to add to the rota of forums in which I post like a crackmonkey.

I never vote unless "BASTARD!" is an option

Re: 2+2: Name My Baby!

Why pick a name like Melissa if you plan on calling her Molly. Just call her Molly if thats the case?

My vote is What It Do - though people with two middle names are generally more retarded than those with one. Plus, you can nickname her Whatty.

Also, can never go wrong with Jessica, Laura or Sarah - Veronica is a stupid name that will mean she will have to go by Nica so people dont point at laugh at her name.

If you call her Sabrina, she will never be disassociated from Sabrina the Teenage Witch. Her school nickname will be Witchy.

Fwiw, Melissa is best option in poll (but would have chosen Bastard if had option). Mel is a good shortening. Dont for the love of god shorten it to Molly. Im not even sure if Melissa normally shortens to Molly, but its pretty stupid either way and her nickname at school will be redneck ho.

Note, this is assuming your surname doesnt make choice weird.

Re: 2+2: Name My Baby!

I have chosen not to vote for a name in the first poll. Melissa is mediocre and other two sound very whorish imo. A name is very important as it sets the stage for the life that child will lead. I personally like the name Alexandria and will name my first born this whether it be male or female.

Not at all a big fan of Molly. Conjures up a broken-down Irish janitor, or somebody who walks slashing their elbows out to shoulder height on each side.

I was surprised at thinking Veronica would have to be shortened to Nica. I've never heard that one, but I've known a few Veronicas who were called Ronnie.

Melissa is nice

Sabrina is for strippers, cats, and teenage witches

Veronica?
