which vegas poker rooms are
close to or adjacent to the race/ sports book??
don't want to have to walk to far. thanks |
Re: which vegas poker rooms are
Well, I consider far to me 3 miles to be too far to walk in Vegas, but what do you consider to be too far? The casinos aren't cities, none of them are too far to walk unless you're handicapped in some way.

Re: which vegas poker rooms are
- Caesars Palace: Sports book right outside the poker room.
- Rio: Sports book is next door to poker room (NOT during WSOP, obv) about 20 yards?? - Harrahs: Sports book right outside the poker room. - Bellagio: Sports book right outside the poker room. All I can think of for now. Generally poker rooms are always put smack next door next to sports book, but seems to be a "general" rule not a steadfast one. T |
Re: which vegas poker rooms are
Mandalay Bay has their poker room & sports book tucked away in the same area. You almost have to walk through/past the poker room to get to the book.

Re: which vegas poker rooms are
Monte Carlo is also right next to sportsbook
Wynn is a short walk (see map) http://img165.imageshack.us/img165/4...ndetailst5.png |
Re: which vegas poker rooms are
They are also close together at the Venetian and MGM.
|
Re: which vegas poker rooms are
Add the LV Hilton, Paris, Palace Station to that list
|
Re: which vegas poker rooms are
Mirage - right next door.
|
Re: which vegas poker rooms are
Stratosphere is next door.
Furthest away I can think of is Wynn, and even then less than 1 min walk. |
Re: which vegas poker rooms are
Mirage sports book is a three second walk through the bar.

Re: which vegas poker rooms are
They usually pair them. When I'm looking for the poker room in a casino I don't know. I usually look for the sports book, because it stands out better.

Re: which vegas poker rooms are
Furthest apart that I can think of is Imperial Palace, with the poker room right in the front, and the sportsbook upstairs next to burger palace.

Re: which vegas poker rooms are
Gold Coast: the poker room and sports book aren't right next to each other, but they're no more than a minute or two apart. Not that you'd really want to play at either one.
Caesar's: you can't get to the poker room without being taunted by the huge boards in the sports book. Palms: sports book is right around the corner from the poker rooms, less than a minute away although if they are running one of their free promotions at the casino to draw in the locals, they usually have the line going down that hallway so it's kind of a pain to get from the poker room to the sportsbook then. TI: they're not right next to each other as the poker room is kind of off by itself. |

Re: which vegas poker rooms are
What??? It moved again....I was just there over Memorial Day, and it was up front. My friends and I are going back next weekend for Labor Day, and staying at IP of course, cause we are budget (even though it will still be like $150 a night cause we just booked last night).
At least it should be closer to the restroom, since drunken 2/4 cap in the dark preflop is usually interrupted by 10 minute round trips to the bathroom (or longer if the video poker or other table games entice us). |
Re: which vegas poker rooms are
MGM - you can spit into the sports book from the poker area |
Re: which vegas poker rooms are
MGM, Monte Carlo, Mirage, Mandalay, and many, many more.

Re: which vegas poker rooms are

MGM - you can spit into the sports book from the poker area [/ QUOTE ] Somehow, I think they frown on that type of horseplay. |
Re: which vegas poker rooms are
Caesar's, Rio & Bellagio
