50NL AQ flops top two, now what?

Villain is solid TAG. Can I ever get away from this correctly?

I don't get away from this but w/e. If he has AK beaten he is either splitting against you or has 999. That should make it a fold. If he would reraise w/AK preflop I lean towards a fold.

I call this, maybe a leak.

He is in SB, but there is only 1 combination of A9s and 3 combinations of 99.

Solid TAG, not sure what that means here, but to me it means A9o is not in his SB defense range, but TJs is in his semi-bluff push range if he thinks you can laydown AK.

Re: AQ flops top two, now what?

There are three ways SB can have 99, one way he can have AA and one way he can have QQ, meaning that eight possible holdings can beat you.

Your opponent can have AK eight ways, AJ eight ways, AT eight ways, and A9 six ways. But since he appears to be a solid player, let's say that there's only a 17% chance that your opponent would play top pair this way.

You are up front at this point in the hand ten times (10=(8+8+8)/6+6) and you are behind five times. I have yet to take into account the fact the one of you who is behind could still outdraw the other. Nonetheless, I feel it's safe to say that a call it the correct play here, because you have to pay $41.50 to call when there's already $68 in the pot.

You are absolutely correct. This makes the argument for calling even stronger.

Re: AQ flops top two, now what?

Mhh maybe I'm wrong but solid TAG + bet/raise/reraise means 999 to me.

pot will be somewhere around 100$ if we call and it's more or less 40$ to see the last two cards. These pot odds are reasonable but not great. Plus, I can't imagine the V. making this play with just a draw or AK.

Re: AQ flops top two, now what?

Yeah, but do you consider A9 to be a possible holding? If so, then it's still a call. Or am I missing something here?

you aren't folding, call, run quad Qs, have him muck his AA, shrug your shoulders, rack your chips, and walk quietly to the cashier

Re: AQ flops top two, now what?

I am probably not getting away from this, but I am looking at my hand as a bluff-catcher at this point. He probably has 99, maybe A9, or maybe something like JT, KJ, or the same hand.
