girls hate that word?
talking to friend's gf. she states that all women hate these words (but she's insane, so what do you guys think?)
c*nt (obvious one) ladies (she thinks it's very cheesy, and associates it with some cheeseball hitting on a large group of girls) moist (i can see this) panties (?? i think guys are just trained to call boy underwear undies, and girl underwear panties) any others you guys know of? |
Re: girls hate that word?
not all women hate the c-word, but all women hate being called the c-word, that's for sure.
'ladies' is the kind of thing where if a chick has a chip on her shoulder or the guy has douchey tendencies it sounds bad, but most people can use this word without any trouble. moist, meh, sounds like this chick is crazy. same with panties. |
Re: girls hate that word?
The only English word I know of that is pretty much universally offense to all women who understand the language is c*nt.
Exactly why this is true, I am not completely sure. |
Re: girls hate that word?
last night, i was talking with a 33yo neighbor of mine who didnt like the word co0ter.
|
Re: girls hate that word?
I hate the first word as well. I am not a girl. It's just a dumb word.

Re: girls hate that word?
What's to like?
|
Re: girls hate that word?
Nothing in particular. I am neutral about the word just like just about any word.. I don't see how this word is 'dumb'.

I hate the first word as well. I am not a girl. It's just a dumb word. [/ QUOTE ] Funny how some words have really strong offensive qualities, I would count this one as a top 5 offensive word. Another (I wonder if this will pass the profanity filter) is 'wanker'. To me (I am English), this is another top 5 'bad word' and it amuses me how it has entered the American language from British movies, etc, as a funny word to say, without them realising what it means or that it is such a profanity. Ha, it passes the profanity filter - qed! |
Re: girls hate that word?
I don't know. It sounds weird. When I hear it I just get visions of British hooligans. I've never ever heard it when some one actually meant vagina.
English is not my native language though, so that might have something to do with it. |

[/ QUOTE ] Well its a slang word for a woman's vagina that has only negative connotations, unlike say pussy which is sexy and cute like a kitty cat and oh baby give me your hot wet pussy etc etc. C-nt is just a raw word to ever use at a woman, but if you are neutral about it then go right ahead. |
Re: girls hate that word?
I don't like the word 'moist' either, and I'm a guy. Something about it just bothers me.
|
Re: girls hate that word?
Nothing wrong with the c-word. Its a good word embrace it

Re: girls hate that word?
Most girls I know hate "pussy" too, fwiw.
Also I think women are more sensitive to curse words or epithets in general, like most I know would be really offended by words like "fgt" or "n*gger" in casual conversation while most guys don't really care. |

It sounds more like you just have a low tolerance for that word and can't believe others don't. |

Re: girls hate that word?
[ QUOTE ]
Well its a slang word for a woman's vagina that has only negative connotations [/ QUOTE ] Not exactly. Some places in the world, the word 'c*nt', believe it or not (ye that take offense to such a simple articulation of sound), is used as a term of endearment. In Scotland, for example, you might hear one refer to a friend "He's a good '[censored]', that one". Or, it may be thrown around as a gentle slander "Aye, ya [censored] you". Some feminist movements are attempting to reclaim the word as a strong 'girl power' sort of thing. The idea is that 'c*nt' isn't something that we should be embarrassed by. The word's strong derogatory interpretation can easily be construed to strike at the essence of womanhood. 'C*nt' is attitude and pride! It's only so bad a word cause you folks are silly. |
Re: girls hate that word?
Yeah sorry I didn't take Scotland into account in my analysis.

Moist Moist Moist!!!! [/ QUOTE ] hey ladies, i'd like to see your [censored] in your moist panties.! |
Re: girls hate that word?

I would count this one as a top 5 offensive word. Another is 'wanker'. [/ QUOTE ] That's funny cause while I do think that c*nt has no real uses (I can't imagine a situation in which it is appropriate/fun to say), wanker has no negative connotation at all. If some one would call me a wanker I would laugh, it's like a sweet version of arsehole. |

If guys started getting all boo hoo over cursing, they'd just get laughed at or told to f*ck off. |

Re: girls hate that word?
my grandma used to say "cooktail" (oo as in boo) because she didn't like to say [censored].
wtf how is rooster censored. |

[/ QUOTE ] agree with both parts. i think using swear words unnecessarily (so not when you drop something on your foot or forgot something important, but just smattered through sentences or as adjectives) is really vulgar and implies stupidity. i also think c*nt is a really nasty word, but i hate words like vag (pronounced vaj) and pussy, too. it makes me uncomfortable just to type them! |
Re: girls hate that word?
Can you explain why girls don't like them? I am sure your stance is not unique.

Re: girls hate that word?
My mom hates the word c*nt... a lot... When I was busted on new years when I was 16 she was yelling at me, I may have called her that word, she may have punched me in the face and had my dad come pick me up, they are divorced. He picked me up and said 'Look, we both know she's a c*nt, but you can't tell her that to her face, idiot.'

Re: girls hate that word?
moist is an oddly common one that girls dont like
|
Re: girls hate that word?
I hate the c*nt word, also hate "piss" when guys talk about taking a leak, for some reason I think it's gross.
I love the word pussy, especially when I'm using it at the poker tables to a guy (all in good fun) they get shocked hearing it from a girl. Girl/lady/woman are all OK as long as they're not being said condescendingly. T |
Re: girls hate that word?

Girl/lady/woman are all OK as long as they're not being said condescendingly. [/ QUOTE ] If these terms aren't ok as general use words, what are guys suppose to call a women? By their first name only? Honey? Sugertits? Toots? I mean if you can't say lady, women, or girl? What the hell are you suppose to say? |
Re: girls hate that word?
I guess I should have just said Lady/Girl, woman would be the acceptable term.
Unless she's under 16, then it's girl. T |
Re: girls hate that word?
really, so Lady is a bad word. Interesting...
"hey ladies" "don't call us ladies you rude ass hole" "c-words!" haha, I jest. |

LOL
If I hear: "Hey Lady, move your damn car" It's a bad word. If I hear: "Hello Ladies, may I buy you a drink?" it's OK. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] We have double standards too, ya know. T |
