He has a big hand and doesn't want you drawing. Unlikely to be a bluff I would think. He has AK, Axss, 66, 22 enough to fold I think

[/ QUOTE ]

Wow, did she even read the question? I guess she has no concept of how long a foot is either to even think that 78 might be correct.

I was hoping Jeff would tell here that there were three feet in a yard and then have her continue and struggle to answer the question.

Bear:

3. to bring forth (young); give birth to: to bear a child.

Honestly if you're going to make fun of someone for misusing a word at least make sure you're right.

The reactions by the kids were priceless.

I've watched that POS show a couple times and that was the first time I saw one of the kids get an answer wrong.

Re: A gem from Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader

Its about time Britain went fully Metric, and you guys can follow our example of embracing a better system of weights and measures.

I guessed 7.5, because a yard and a metre is pretty close to the same, and there are around 3 feet in a metre. Didnt make sense that even imperial would have 3.108 feet to a yard so made most sense.

[/ QUOTE ]

No kidding. I can look at my foot, and i can realise that 2 kids doesnt equal 78 of them. She should know that the answer aint right and take a better guess. 355 is not a better guess though

Phil, use a base 10 system for breaking up the day and then you can be fully metric. Otherwise it's all just talk.

I though it was appropriate spelling for the subject!

The beat is I actually looked up the correct version of the word but got a couple of phone calls, emails, deliveries, customers in the office so I didn't make the correction - but I made $$.
