simple things FTP could do to be better

1) adopt the old party ID verification system which allowed for automatic approval of routine cashouts. There is really no reason why every cashout has to go through a security check. I sent FTP an email about this, which they replied to post it on their forums, I did and then proceeded to see several other posts asking for the same thing. Note adopting this would not only make customers happier but it would also result in a decreased work load for the already overtaxed FTP support. I requested an epassporte cashout this week which took 46 hours to process. There is really no reason for this.

2) add an additional ID requirement for player to player transfers. town, email whatever but something which requires knowing more than the players ID. The result is an additional security feature and a decrease in risk of mistakes.

3) allow FTP points to be converted to medals as medals are converted to FTP points. I don't see why it matters to FTP whether they are buying me a new monitor, a $300 bonus or an entry into a tournament. As long as the conversion rate is similar this would only result in happier players and an incentive to play even more. It would also immediately solve the complaint of consistent and long term players being passed over for bonuses.

4) set up an option to trade FTP points for $. As I was reading the FTP forums (btw wow) I was surprised to see how much of a market there was for points. Clearly there a customers who want to sell their points and there are customers who want to buy points. So why not set up an easy transfer option which allows each player to enter in the amount of either points or $ he is transferring, if both parties match then bam trade goes through and you have two happy customers. adding a $0.50 surcharge for each party should more than cover the development costs.

5) assign a specific case manager to the customer for all account lock/suspensions and immediately send the customer an email detailing the following.

case managers name and direct email.
reason for suspension/locking ie suspected bot, collusion whatever
what the process is and what actions if any the customer can take. If there is further investigating to be done then this would be stated as well.

I read over the kyleb thread and the consensus was that FTP was justified in suspending his and others accounts but that the process and communication was inexcusably bad. At the end it seemed as though FTP's response was "these things take a long time" ummm no they don't and if they do then there in no excuse for not having an accurate and clear line of communication.

FTP is asking customers in a time where online poker is facing many challenges to trust them with their money. In some cases a lot of money. This is a serious commitment that FTP needs to start to put sufficient resources into it.

In conclusion FTP should ask itself, if Party Poker and the other sites that left the US market returned tomorrow would our customers stay? I believe for many the answer is no and this is something FTP should strive to do something about.

other suggestions, comments welcome

Have options beside the original deposit method to cash out to.

I dep w/ ePass and had to send a few e-mails before my cashout was sent via check (which I'm still waiting for).

Allow their customers who signed up through PSO before rakeback was offered by them switch to a rakeback account with PSO.

Interesting, My Wife would love that. She's been in the Iron since they came up with this scheme.
What would you suggest..500pts a day? How would you handle the medals since, for example she is on her 10th iron month but this would obv. be the first month at this new Mega level?

Seriously, does FTP realize how much business they're losing because of the rakeback stuff?

I'm quite sure that the affiliate I signed up under no longer is an affiliate. So why not let me switch to a new affiliate if I refuse to play any meaningful volume without rakeback? Stupid, stupid, stupid. Maybe FTP only intends to use rakeback as a promotional tool, but they're foolish to not look beyond that and see players like me, who pay well over 100k in rake a year

Thank god for the Stars VIP club

I hate how when you go bust, you have to sit out. They should have an auto reload like Stars.

Also, I hate how they don't give focus to the table where they're asking you to post your BB...and they give you all of 2.4 seconds to do so.

How about fpp milestone bonuses similar to what Stars has?

I think that would entice many plays to play there more (maybe myself included).

Re: simple things FTP could do to be better

I have a rakeback account at Full Tilt Poker, but I can definitely feel you guys' pain.

Apparently my Absolute account is already under an affiliate, even though I am 100% sure I downloaded the site myself, and not through a link. I guess the affiliate can place a 'cookie' on your computer without you even knowing it (that's what I was told). Over a year ago I asked Absolute to close my account because I refuse to allow someone who practices such shady business practices (the affiliate) earn a penny off my play. They gladly complied. Recently I sent them an email to see if their policy had changed OR if they would simply let me open a new account since the other one had been closed for so long. No can do. They, once again gladly, told me to go play somewhere else. And so I am.

I would suggest adding a 1000pt/day one and then maybe a 3000pt/day one. I really think it would help them generate more rake too. For me personally, I probably average around 2500/day, but I'd definitely go for 3000 if the reward was worth it.

Re: simple things FTP could do to be better

1. make the 'my promotions' button work
2. find someway via the ironman program to reward those of us that get 80K points/month but don't play everyday
3. make tokens, gift certificates available through the points store
4. a 'lite' version of the software without resizable tables to reduce lag
5. or failing above..reduce processor use of software
6. add turbo/6-man to the SNG filter, add the buy-in levels that aren't on there e.g. $210
7. have a VIP program for verified accounts to cashout faster, e.g. instant approvals
8. get the bank transfer thing rolled-out completely and give all the fish a deposit bonus for using the method and forever linking there bank acct with mine
9. maybe a personal VIP rep for those that pay $XK/month in rake

Re: simple things FTP could do to be better

Create a more specific filter for the NLH tables that allows someone to focus on the levels/games they want (similar to the custom tabs under tourneys and sngs). I play levels that straddle the boundary between two of the three tiers, I don't play PL, and I don't play 6-max. Set it up so I can put just the 2/4 to 5/10 Full Ring NL tables.

QFT.

I have an old account there that I haven't used in 3 years, and I won't ever use again unless I can get RB - the games may be 'better' than stars, but between the volume I can get in at PS and the VIP bonuses, any benefit from playing in softer games is completely lost.

Anyone else having terrible lag problems tonight? I am about to have a stroke everytime I get a likely winning hand. I am pinging yahoo at ~80 ms (slow?). and FTP is timing out 100%. I spent the last hour on myspace FFS

Oh and PLEASE stop brining up the lobby everytime a new table opens or closes. My god, the lobby comes up over the buy-in pop-up. I am completely capable of clicking on the lobby to open more tables if I want more. And if I am waiting on a few extra, I don't need the lobby open when I decline them when I open the number of tables I want to play.
I thought Doug said this was being made optional, but I see no way to stop it and man I hate it. Help me please.

Just please, please let me keep the lobby minimized.
