Re: AQs OOP in Re-Raised Pot
I hate these spots. I would propably bet $24 and fold to a raise. But I massivly loose money in these situation so i don't really know if that is a good advice.

Re: AQs OOP in Re-Raised Pot
I dpn't mind a c/c here at all

bump! no one good ebuff 2 answer the question!? [/ QUOTE ] Well Villain can't be calling the three-bet for set value or other implied odds because Hero is too short. So he has a premium hand, and you don't beat many of those, and the ones you beat will likely be real reluctant to bet. So just try to get to a cheap showdown unless you improve. Various lines accomplish that, but checking the flop is a real good start. |

[/ QUOTE ] Continue trying to get to a cheap showdown, with some potential outs as well. So c/c another donkbet, c/f otherwise, or just c/f to anything if your spidey sense says he's got you crushed and is extracting. |
Re: AQs OOP in Re-Raised Pot
check flop. bet turn if opponent checks behind on flop. i want to get this pot under control and not have to play for stacks here.
|
Re: AQs OOP in Re-Raised Pot
I don't see how you can not have the best hand here. I would bet $24/call shove, shove turn if he calls on any card.
I mean you'd bet this flop with 77 or 65s, right? |
Re: AQs OOP in Re-Raised Pot
why would you bet the only hands that are calling are better than yours. You could be putting money into a pot drawing to a split, which might be unlikely in a reraised pot but considering he's in position not out of the question.
|
Re: AQs OOP in Re-Raised Pot
you really need reads here but without them c/c is probably best.
on the turn you will have to decide whether he has it or not. if he does you c/f. if not, crai. |
Re: AQs OOP in Re-Raised Pot
i have no idea why anyone would say leading out here is bad. you flopped a good hand, gutter redraw, and backdoor flush draw. i bet this all day and I'd bet alot. Like $26 on the flop. See how much he likes his hand.
c/c leaves you completely in the dark. if he bets, you dunno if he's betting because you showed weakness, or if the flop just hit him over the face, or if he just thinks 2nd pair might be good and he's getting value. if we're playing AQ this way on this flop, why are we even bothering to 3bet it preflop? this was a button raise, his range is rather wide here. bet your damn hand. |

[/ QUOTE ] Is this sarcasm? I can't tell. [/ QUOTE ] no it's not sarcasm, why, do you strongly disagree? IMO AA, KK, and AK usually re-raise preflop, and so does JJ a lot of the time. AJ often folds but it's not like it's a great horror if he shows up with that hand: your little draws add up to 40% equity between them. You're a pretty big dog against AA/KK/JJ/AK obviously(15-18% equity) but again, there aren't that many combos of those hands that just call preflop. Meanwhile there are plenty of hands he could have that you don't really want to check/call against....either because there's a good chance you can get them to semi-bluff shove the flop (JT, 76fd, etc) or because they'll take a free card and then either suck out on you or fold on a scary turn card where they might have called one on the flop (something like JQ or KQ, and the flush comes on the turn). I guess checking may induce some bluffs from hands that would just fold to your flop bet, but as leading out on this board doesn't look all that strong, I think you do better by charging draws & inducing big semi-bluffs. |

[/ QUOTE ] No way, dude, the hands you listed aren't going to pop u back preflop because of the stack sizes. They are going to call and re-evaluate, or call and let you hang yourself if Villain has AA/KK. And what else is flat-calling, JT, 76s, WTF, no way. You are well and truly crushed here the majority of the time. |
