This is not necessarily correct. I do 4bet in this spot the majority of the time. However some of my friends that play higher limits will not 4bet in this spot alot of the time since you are losing value from hands that will auto fold there. Eventually you will have to play some poker where your profits dont just come from coolers AA vs KK all in preflop. Just have to play well post flop and get value from the villians trying to play OOP against you.

As far as this particular hand played out, seems like the turn push is not all bad. KK/QQ call that you beat, Big ace flush draws may call, 1010/AJ obv call that beat you. Cant think of much else that is calling here, yet may get called lighter since it looks like your not afraid of a Jack.

mixing it up is fine once in a while at the higher limits (what limits do they play?) depending on game flow, images etc. but definitely not at these stakes (or very very rarely), and definitely not in this spot; you are oop and deep.

I wouldn't say its "soooooo bad" but it is bad because we're deep here and BB just gave Hero a chance to cut down on BB's implied odds so doooo it!

Re: AA blind v blind 200bb deep

I guess I am confused with this hand then. I read the hand as we had position for one thing, even though it states hero is SB. Thats why I suggested it was not all bad to not 4bet, I was assuming we had position.

As far as the levels they play, its nl100, nl200, nl400

Yeah shoulda made it like 12 or so PF. Shove after turn is good b/c he just called your re raise on flop and checked turn. Howd the hand turn out?

Reading the HH again it looks like its the ongame no small blind bug and Hero was on the Button in this hand so he had position, sorry about the confusion

Butchered preflop.

Things may change when competition gets better at higher levels. But I can't think of a reason to ever call AA preflop at NL25. I'm always re-raising or pushing.

His 3bet range in blind battle can be huge and he might not know that you know, in those situations flatcalling can be superior and by far. Here however, we are deep. Postflop lines depend here entirely on reads and image. Check on turn is ok sometimes as is the shove. Smaller bet too, I don't know.
