Rate my DVD collection/suggest some DVDs
 

So, I just finished re-organizing my DVD player:

I'm nearing full capacity on this 400 disc changer and I'm contemplating getting another one and using one for TV shows and one for movies. So, do you guys see any glaring omissions in the following list of DVDs and what do you think of my collection?

Caddyshack is high on my list of DVDs to get, but somehow I always forget to grab it when I'm at Fry's/Best Buy.

Haven't seen much Curb, but will check it out and grab Anchorman.

Crap, Ok, so much for me suggesting all region DVD's. Although I must say I think you are missing out on some good kung fu movies... no Hero, no Crouching Tiger, etc. And on the fun side, no Iron Monkey, Shaolin Soccer, etc...

Click was disappointing, but my girlfriend loves Chris Walken.

Clockers I'm making no excuses for, I think it's a great movie.

The DaVinci Code sucked, yeah...

I have a soft spot for all things Dungeons & Dragons, so what if I'm a huge dork. Yes, the movies sucked.

Eragon wasn't as good as the book, but I found it entertaining.

Haven't seen Firewall or John Tucker Must Die yet.

Seriously, Steve Martin is so awesomely hilarious in My Blue Heaven.

The Patriot I'm not making excuses for, I liked it, whatever.

Ryan Reynolds owns, and so does Kal Penn... Speaking of, I need to get Harold and Kumar.

I dont know if you are into music but here are a few standards

The Last Waltz
Bob Dylan - No Direction Home
Woodstock - 3 Days of Peace & Music

There are a ton others that are always a good mix to have in the player if you just want to chill while playing cards or something.

Yeah, been wanting to pick up a Pink Floyd concert DVD for chilling to. I've seen that Woodstock DVD, it's amazing.

Actually, I think it's my parents' fault. They wouldn't let me watch the Simpsons when I was a kid so I never got into it and then I got annoyed by all the people who would quote the Simpsons all day in high school.

The Fast and the Furious is terribly acted but entertaining and is awesome in surround sound.

Will probably get most of the rest of those except Sin City, didn't care for it.

Yes to all of those but Sopranos, I watched all of them weekly on HBO until it started to disappoint me around the end of season 3. Also I got mad at HBO for making me wait so long between seasons and then not being all that great at times.

More Scorsese stuff (raging bull, goodfellas, departed, esp),

The Wire and the Sopranos for TV,

add Boondock saints to the burn pile,

more Charlie Kaufman scripts (Being John Malkovich),

Rounders LDO,

Usual Suspects, Children of Men and Fargo off the top of my head based on some of your other movies

more classics (Kane, Casablanca, Rear Window, Vertigo, Billy Wilder noir + the Apartment, ....)

Also, if you're thinking about a second DVD player it might be smarter just to get a Blue Ray or HDDVD unit (I don't know which is winning the battle).

It reads the names on some and not on others. Of the DVDs I have, I'd say about 25-30% automatically read the names. You can plug a keyboard in to input the other names though.

I have 5 seasons of the shield and 2 seasons of lost, been trying to get Rescue me.
