Cake poker..

I and both of my brothers play on cake. We have never colluded, but now cannot sit down at the same table. They knew we shared a last name for awhile (they mentioned it in an email) and that we had logged on from each others computers at times, but didn't take away the ability to play together for some time.

I think it's probably a good thing, but is this standard? We've never colluded, so they can't really have reason to believe we would.....

I just think it's a tad strange. No casino would stop two friends/siblings from playing at the same table, would they? I'd never heard of it before. There's a lot more paranoia online, which is likely for the best, I suppose...

It is just very easy for you guys to cheat. If you are playing in the same room all you have to do is look at your friends screen. Also, even if you guys are trust worthy (which they have no way of knowing), other people get freaked out by it and some would stop playing there.

Oh, I should clarify, we're all in different provinces. It's not to do with IP addresses.

Actually it is since you have logged in on each other's computers.

This is standard.

Be very careful here, they could very easily could have locked your account just out of suspicion. And then the weight is on you to justify your innocence.

Welcome to the internet. If you wanna play with your buddy...home game. If you want to play online with a buddy you've referred/transferred money to/used your PC/same address/etc then you run a high risk of getting your funds locked.

Use epassporte.

As far as OPs concerns go. This is very standard. Technically you are not allowed to log into 2 different names from the same IP address. For example, a while back on a website I shall not name, I logged into multiple accounts and had my account locked as well as my friends. I was transferring money that he approved cause he was away.

Cake is a great site and ePassporte has worked fine for me - cashouts hit ePassporte in a day or 2 at the most.

I haven't had a problem with Epassporte.

Although with the new legislation coming up or whatever, could spell trouble but then again could just be nothing.

Read more about it in the Legislation forum.

I think you're overstating the case here.

There was a thread recently where someone said that they contacted one of the big rooms to ask if it was OK if he and his wife played from the same IP address, and that they would make sure they did not sit at the same table.

The PR said fine, and you don't have to worry about not sitting at the same table.

The PR's are way too paranoid about collusion (and quite rightly so) to rely on something so easily bypassed as same IP addresses.

In any case, with many ISP's IP addresses are reused and you won't have the same one all the time.

If the sites started banning people on the basis of IP address, people with ISP's who used dynamic addresses would all find themselves banned.

QFT, haven't had any problems with either.
Does anyone know is Cake supports any datamining software? (PAHUD, Pokertracker etc?)

1) Epassporte works well. Got me $$$ in about a day.

2) Is it me or have people been playing like total maniacs the past 2-3 days? My raises are getting called a lot (which is pretty normal there), but my cont bets are being met with all in plays like mad. This especially sucks cuz I've been running cold as hell. All of my tables (NL50) have huge pots with tons of action with AIR. It's prob some Sportsbook promo that drew in some new folks. They keep the fish pond stocked.

yea no Pokertracker, this isnt really worth it. I have 100$ there sometimes a rollover in tournys on weekdays but not often. the secret is out and unless you can fathom only having 3 50$ nls open after 10pm its not worth it.

Thirded, it's very quickly gone bad there, which is a shame as I like the set-up.

Shhhhhh.

NL$20 is still kicking. Only a few regular TAGs, most of the time the fish are in and out. Clearing the bonus is nice as well, they have the FT type point setup.
