To all FTP multitablers

Do you guys still have LAG issues and hangups?

Re: To all FTP multitablers

any lag I get now is from my own connection. I think they did well in finally fixing it.

Re: To all FTP multitablers

I had 2 instances of lag for about 3 seconds in a 3 hour session last night. It was only long enough to time me out on one table. I can live with it but Stars still runs way better imo.

Haven't had lag for months.

Re: To all FTP multitablers

There's some noticable lag, but not enough where it's a huge problem. There should be an option in your poll "There's some noticable lag, but not enough where it's a huge problem." Because I would totally vote for that one.

Anyone who lags bad with PAHUD... be sure to put Flicker-Free Drawing on, it lags much less for me with it (FTP is the only site I know of that it lags less with it though).

I play only 4 tables at most, don't run PA HUD, just Poker Tracker and never have had any issues.

Re: To all FTP multitablers

it "lags" about twice every 3K hands...but it only lags for ~2 seconds then is back to normal

When it used to lag, it used to completely kill my computer for 1 minuter+...so basically in my mind the problem is fixed...thanks tilt

For me every button press gets a reaction like 2 seconds later. Was fine until the last update.

This is my main problem with PokerAceHud running. I set my PT and HUD to low priority but about a half hour into my sessions it gets really slow. Nothing like timing out with big hands to put you on monkey tilt.

Re: To all FTP multitablers

oops i didn't see this thread. if mine gets locked, i still strongly encourage everyone to email ftp support about this issue. srsly, look what stars did cuz hu forum mass emailed them (link). yeah, ftp support sucks. who cares? just do it. it takes like 1 minute.

Another thing to reduce lag is make sure FT is running on only one processor on dual+ processor machines (by changing affinity). Poker clients are notorius for bringing multiple processor machines to a screaching halt.

Full tilt poker where with each update your experience gets worse!

Re: To all FTP multitablers

dear FTP

is it possible for me to opt out of your software updates? im entirely serious because once again (3rd time this year) after updating the software my playing experience grinds to a halt with what appears to be no noticeable benefits what so ever. its incredibly frustrating and makes me not want to play much or at all

Re: To all FTP multitablers

I didn't play for a few days after the update, and now that I've played the last two days It's been terrible. FT just up and has an error and then closes once every 300 or so hands. I used to get the yellow screen and sorta have the same thing happen maybe once a week, but this is out of control. I don't understand why it just closes out of nowhere. Luckily I've been able to open it back up quickly enough that I haven't timed out on any big hands, but it's a huge pain in the ass.

Bet pot has been acting up too, even after downloading the newest version.

Same for me too, Klompy. I right click for 2/3 pot and it just spams zeros in the bet amount box and I can't make it stop for like 5 seconds.

Me too, i'm using XP pro. Bet pot sometimes does some weird stuff also for me -- like when i want to bet pot on the flop it puts in 0 instead of pot.

on vista you right click on fulltiltpoker.exe in the task manager, select "affinity" in the context menu, and then uncheck one of the processors/cores. i'm sure it's something similar in task manager in xp.

I had the worst LAG for the longest time, bought a new setup that is super fast and hasnt had problems since, seems like its a resources problem mostly (can 10 table now no problems). I still get focus stealing but Im not sure if that is standard now or not.

My dual core vista machine always locks when I 12 table SnGs with PAHUD on FTP. Will give this and "Flicker Free" a try and see how that works.

Edit - didn't work. This time it locked up when the first table loaded it's stats - usually I can play for a while with stats on all tables before it locks up.

Man I have it now really bad. Its never been a problem, but now has popped up last few days as a result of the most recent update I guess. Anyone have ideas?

My comp is a cpl years old but I take good care of it, dont run pokerace, dont run pokertracker while I'm playing, etc. Connection has always been very fast. The lag is driving me nuts.

Today's lag has been pretty bad.. I downloaded a new version of PAHud and I think that might be it. I'll try that affinity thing now.

Re: To all FTP multitablers

Try the FTP HUD in the software forum, by MikeChops. It isnt as customizeable as PAHUD (I never used PA), but many posters in the FTP HUD thread said that cures their HUD lag problem.
