BB (t4480) UTG (t4054) MP (t600) Hero (t3348) SB (t1018) Preflop: Hero is Button with Ahttp://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/...iles/spade.gif, Khttp://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/...miles/club.gif. UTG raises to t525, 1 fold,Hero? |
Re: push or call?
Is he raising a lot from EP? How does he play post flop? How loose will he call, and what % of his EP raising range is that?
With two very short stacks around I think I might just let this one go. I could see a push against some villains (those most likely to fold, and those most likely to call with AQ), and a call against some (those who don't c-bet or who are likely to stack off with a weak hand post-flop). All in all though, I like a fold. |
Re: push or call?
I like a push.
I need serious reads to fold this. |
Re: push or call?
I'm sure this is why I have less 1st places and more 3rds than I'd like, but I can't see pushing when there are two short stacks. If UTG continues to raise a lot, I'd be more likely to push if this situation comes up again, but I'll let it go the first time.

Re: push or call?
the 525 screams 99-JJ, or AQ+.....I muck here without a read....if i've seen villain raise from oop twice.....i'd shove this the third time

Re: push or call?
why not just call? re-evaluate on the flop..make him have a hard time..i think a call might be the best idea here. It's the time when you need to pick up chips so why not just with a premium hand like AK

Re: push or call?
I probably call preflop
|
Re: push or call?
But, calling, whats the line on the flop? check fold?
|
Re: push or call?
I call preflop. Folding seems too tight, and pushing seems too aggressive (If there is really such a thing.)

But, calling, whats the line on the flop? check fold? [/ QUOTE ] we have position. If he checks we probably win, if its comes A or K hi we probably win |
Re: push or call?
I like a smooth call as well, but have been berated recently for my nittyness regarding calling. If I do call its only because I have position.
