55 in $220 HU debate

OK. So im playing a clown heads up $220 turbo SNG on full tilt. I just beat him the last game when he missed a flush draw in a raised pot with T2s. Anyways, I am playing relatively tight, have folded to a couple of his reraises PF but have value bet him enough to have a 2000 to 1000 chip lead. He is super aggressive, raising every hand, reraising, shoving, c-betting every flop -- just not skillfully, hes terrible...on to the hand

the binds are 30-60 and I have 55, the previous hand i raised JTs and he shoved and i folded. so this hand i call the blind. He shoves for 1k total...i have 2000 in chips....fold or call???

i was talkin with a friend at the time and he said i should fold and wait for a better spot, i said i should instacall because i think it is +EV play....is this a good call or a better fold???

Fold. You will certainly get a bigger edge later. If you had raised you would probably have to call the push.

I would call without hesitation. Any pair is strong against his range, which could be anything.

No, if he were pushing ATC you could call but there is no way he EVER pushing more than like 50% of his hands, this is a 220 not retard land. If he were pushing his top 50% of hands (which is a TON) you would be about 50/50, if its any tighter than that you are a dog to a significant dog to his range.

He sounds a bit retarded to me...but I see your point.

Yea I'd fold.

To the FTP guys, if blinds are 40-80 you raise this and call a shove, right?

i have to disagree, it is DEFINATELY retard land, i still think this is a call though...i am 55-45 most of the time here and i will take that edge with a 2:1 chip lead to win...against a tight opponent i fold, against this guy, i call...

Just playing around with pokerstove, you range from 55-45 favourite if he is pushing top 70% of hands to 55-45 dog if he is pushing top 20%. Even if his range here is ATC you are still only a 60-40 favourite (and I wouldn't imagine ATC is credible), so if he is really that bad (and given its a SNG rather than cash) maybe you can find a bigger edge before the blinds get too big?

with me showing weakness, i think he is pushing top 70% ATLEAST

wow, so he really is crazy! Then with effective stacks of not much more than 15bbs I'm not so sure. Do people think with stack sizes as they are we can pass up >55-45 (assuming OP is right that he is pushing>70%)?

Re: 55 in $220 HU debate

i never pass up that edge with a 2:1 chip lead

losing the hand just puts me behind 2:1, but being a much better player that isnt so bad
