OK, every now and then I will play like a complete retard. Most sessions I will take make a few -ev situations (esp preflop). I think I do this due to the anonymity of the internet. No one will know it is me playing like a moron so I am not embarassed.

I hope that posting my usernames will cure this. Now I know that my opps might well know who I am.

I can't believe that's you at Absolute. You 3-bet my EP raise the other day (5 or 6-handed) with Q3s. I had you marked as one of the worse lags on the site, and intentionally sit with you in 3 or 4-handed play.

I dunno. I think it a couple of things

i) When I play tired
ii) When I play when I don't want to (but think I have to because of the opportunity cost).

If I am playing when alert and eager to play then I won't tilt due to bad beats.

I like to impose a cutoff time for my playing. For example, I dont play online past 1:30 am anymore, since I'm much more likely to be tired and play poorly. Also, if I start to feel annoyed or signs of tilt coming on, I try to distance my "clicking finger" from the mouse button, so I have that much more time to think. Also, I'll take a prop like a watch and hold it infront of me as a reminder.

that's encouraging, you are just like me. i play wicked bad if i dont want to play or if i'm tired. some of the people here can put in marathon sessions no matter how they are running and play well. i can't do it. i have a little journal that i jot things down in when i am playing, and one of the things i wrote over and over was, "i play bad when i am tired". so i stopped playing when i am tired. and i'm slowly stopping playing bad.

don't play when you are tired. aim me if you quit because you are tired and i'll give you some congratulations and support. quitting when you know you are going to play bad is just as good as playing good. head that tilt off before it happens.

that would be awesome-- i hope i get aim or a pm from you soon that says "i quit because i was tired". it would really make my whole week.
