my preflop raise is bigger than ur steal, the simple answer to your question is that you have major leaks that havent been addressed, you are WAY too tight you also might call too much, but maybe not

Looks like you play really tight. Read Pokey's stuff about blind stealing. It should help you a lot.

i played 15/12 and i crushed nl25 so i think u can still play tight and beat this level ,

I think you call too many raises pf. That, and you always seem to be asking about making extremely weak folds.

You aren't a winning player and the earlier upswing is variance.

What in the world makes you think the first 25k hands is representative of your play and the last 75k isn't?

[/ QUOTE ]Beating the $25 is not about how you play preflop. I use to play 19/8 and crush the $25. Now I play around 18/14 and still crush it.

obv. no doomswitch, you couldn't beat .05-.1 over 100k hands

Re: my 100k hands at 25nl

Why don't you go through this post by Pokey and post all your results from doing it. At a minimum your not stealing blinds enough. After that you should read this post by Pokey on blind stealing. If Pokey has a fan club, can somebody send me an invitation, everything I have seen by him is pure gold.

After that I would start at the top of this 2+2 NL anthology put together by pr0crast at http://www.pr0crast.com/2+2.NL.Anthology.v1.htm . There is a ton of wisdom in there.

you went to NL25 cause you couldnt beat NL10 or whats the plan?

Re: my 100k hands at 25nl

You are better off not playing and trying to figure out what you are doing wrong at the end of every session. Work on tweaking your game whenever you can, not just grinding out hands meaninglessly.

For starters, you are way too tight preflop. Read all the essentials in uNL and really study your own game and how you could be improving.

WAYYYY to tight dude, u can play 25/15 - 6 table and still be a winner at this level. Your obvioulsy playin too many tables, play only 6 at a time and take advantage of the tight and loose players alike.

prodonkey 07-21-2007 07:15 PM

Re: my 100k hands at 25nl

that is some truly awful advice. If someone is losing playing 13/10, opening up to 25/15 will be a disaster.

Re: my 100k hands at 25nl

Jerry,

stop playing 9 tables. I know you get lots of rakeback that way but you don't learn much that way. play 4 or 6 tables

steal blinds more often.

call with marginal hands in position against nits.

try pokerstars.

Kasane 07-21-2007 07:38 PM

Re: my 100k hands at 25nl

Way too tight -- and I think passive too. Part of your "doomswitch" is that you might have learned a couple new things and been working on them -- but failed to grasp what they really were. That was the source of a few of my leaks. I learned aggression, but not how to read hands and really figure out where aggression was warranted/+EV. Things like that.

Loosen up a little, stay at 25NL if you can afford it and read, post, read, post.

Nogatsira 07-21-2007 07:41 PM

Re: my 100k hands at 25nl

I don't want to sound offensive here but I think it's time that you start playing poker.
You are just waiting for good cards and hope to hit a good flop. There's more to the game of poker then hitting cards, it's a game of skill, not a game of pure luck.

Be the agressor, loosen up, let them fear you!

Capone 07-21-2007 08:06 PM

lol loosen up for starters.

Re: my 100k hands at 25nl

Your stats are really tight which leads me to believe you are probably playing too many tables. How many tables are you playing?

You need to move down. You have a lot of leaks and if you aren't beating 10NL over 100k hands you aren't going to beat 25NL. The good thing is that if you play well it really won't take that many hands to be able to move up.

Re: my 100k hands at 25nl

As other have said, play fewer tables. This will allow you to play much better and less robotic. I used to play 8-10 table of full ring NL10 on Full Tilt myself, to clear the signup bonus and rakeback... it makes a huge difference only playing 1-2 tables.
Not sure if moving down will do since NL10 on Full Tilt really blows IMO because of the high rake - I have it at 11BB/100 over like 10k hands at NL10 6 max - and I play fairly tight myself.
You are still positive after the rakeback right?

prodonkey 07-21-2007 08:37 PM

Re: my 100k hands at 25nl

it will be close with rakeback.. that's a lot of buy ins. I got like 1100 rakeback on 100k 50nl hands on full tilt.. so 25nl is prolly less than half.

This is really an excellent point. Jerry are you cbetting everytime you raise and it is heads-up? What size of cbet are you making? You should post your detailed aggression factor stats.

your stats aren't the problem here. even with those stats you should be beating 10nl and 25nl. i think it's postflop. you probably are making mistakes, especially on the flop.

Re: my 100k hands at 25nl

I am playing around 18/9/1.2 and i am beating the game. It can be beaten many different ways, but that style just isn't working for you. You certainly will not get paid off by any decent player with PT and an HUD. I think your problem really is you might not know how to extract well against fish. Your cbets might be too high.

I'll third this..Far far to much focus on the PF number...Problem is post flop..Playing more hands will only increase the problem until you learn how to play them better post flop...

Please post your position stats...
