LHE HU Bankroll?

What do you limit guys think is a sufficient bankroll for playing 2/4 lhe?

300BB - 500BB is pretty standard. It is mostly personal preference.

Hmmm game is probably unbeatable versus most opponents given typical rake. Just fyi.

[/ QUOTE ] isn't FTP just .50 cents a hand? thats comes to 2.5BB/100flops per player roughly at 5/10. with rakeback, is that too much to overcome?

5/10 is plenty beatable.

I think at Stars its reasonable. They dont rake anything for heads up 2-4 until the pot gets to $20, and there is 50c cap rake until pot gets to over $40.

The games are typically very soft and you get to play mostly full ring players trying to start up new games.

$1,500 would be good.

This is comparable to FR IIRC. Probably less at 5/10.

I wouldn't say it is unbeatable, but I'm sure it is one hell of a ride.

The most important factor is whether or not you need to pay yourself. If you have another job that pays your bills and you dont need to cashout ever, then 300-500bb is fine. But if you are a professional and you need to get paid every month you need to keep a much larger surplus, 1000-2000bb in the tank at all times.

I would strongly recommend you have $1,500 or more, especially if you're playing online.

(LOL @ the thought of playing 2/4 LHE live)

The 2/4 HU at FT is entirely beatable, I paid 2.4BB/100 over 17k hands in rake at 2/4 HU which is basicly the same as the 2.33BB/100 I paid at 3/6 6max. In theory with a little bit of game selection you should be able to sustain a higher winrate HU than short handed which makes the rake even less of an issue.

My bankroll was always between 500-1000BB and my biggest downswing over 17k hands was around 120 BB. 500 BB should do just fine as I can't imagine anyone who plays seriously that wouldn't just want to quit and swallow a shotgun after a 3-400BB downswing.

what im trying to say is, its possible for sure.
