U.S. Neteller customers will be able to withdraw starting July 30

Not sure why this hasn't been posted yet. Isn't anyone interested in this at all?

Starting July 30, U.S. Neteller customers will be able to EFT their Neteller funds back to their bank account.

Neteller has made an official announcement on their website.

Do you think we are all going to get audited?

Remember we had to sign those new privacy and user use agreements back in October.

The FAQ says "YES". You have to tell them your bank account was closed.

IMO, after you receive your Neteller funds you will then be audited by the IRS, all internet gambling proceeds will be forfeited to the US govt, you will subject to Federal prosecution for engaging in illegal internet gambling.

Just a theory why this has taken so long, since Neteller now is assisting (an informant) the DOJ in a crackdown on internet gambling.

I know this is not funny but is it possible?? I'm a conspicary freak and Govt. hater., but just wondering??

They spell "check" as "cheque" which is the way Canada and Britain spells it.

You probably don't have anything to worry about. They aren't targeting players, and poker is in the "grey area". Sports betting sites are the primary target.

That's not what the FBI stated last month sir.

They consider no "grey area" between cards an sports, and your cash will be forfeited.

OK, I guess a "grey area" is a little extreme. But I'm right about them not targeting players:

Cracking down. Our strategy for tackling illegal online gambling—as a key enforcement agency—is to start with the companies providing the services in the first place. “We’re going after the people making the money—the owners of these virtual casinos, gaming rooms, and off-track betting parlors,” Bryant says.

FBI not targeting players, but what about the IRS? The FBI seems to state that if you have funds in a cash processing site they busted, you just lost your cash to the US govt.

I was starting to doubt I'd see this $ again. Assuming I don't have to forfeit it all to the gov't, then I am thinking it will fund a trip to the WSOP and a buyin to one of the smaller events to see if I can donk my way to more $'s.

I wouldn't worry unless you are withdrawing a large sum, I'd estimate over 5k and you have done this before via neteller. However, if you really want to be dodgey, you can just deposit most of it back into a poker site or go to a casino. And file those as losses therefore you won't have to pay taxes on it. I'm putting my money back into poker sites and if I win big, report it. But if not, then I can just file taxes as losses.

As a result of the resolution of the USAO investigation, US customers will be able to begin the process of withdrawing funds by 30 July 2007.

The statement does not answer the question. DUCY?

I "began the process of withdrawing funds" on January 15. I've yet to "get my money back." There's no implication on how long the "process" will take.
