Despite his being a little weird and babbling about God and whatnot, you do have to give it to him. He was a friggin machine for 16 hours. He was more consistent than I thought a human could be. Go go God power - and probably Provigil since he's a Psychologist but whatever man, he crushed it. He gets props for that.

man I hated that guy until his acceptance speach. the whole god thing was a bit much for a poker player, BUT he gave me the chills a few times. Good for him...really (and hopefuly the other 90% of the monies gets trickled down to the mid stakes games I play =( )

He's the [censored] genuine article man. You never see that on TV once everything gets edited down and marketed to the right demographic but holy [censored] this guy is the genuine article.

Plus, even though I have a special place of disgust in my heart for donkeys that overvalue ace rag off, I have to retract my statements and concede that he ran over the table and bluffed the hell out of those guys at the right spots.

You're a moron if you think that the sponsorship of the winner of the ME has no effect on the amount of new players it brings to the site. Stars has banked huge on having Moneymaker, Raymer, and Hachem as their main attraction. People watching tv who don't know poker think these guys are the best players in the world and wanna play on their site. Every site knows this and now try to market through final table tv coverage.

I didn't really keep track of the ME until the final table. After last years horrible final table I lost interest. This Yin Yang dude was annoying to watch IMO. Could anyone move any slower? I would have INSTA pushed all-in on his ass. By the way, I stopped watching it with four people left. The ME has been a joke since the new decade. The HORSE event determines the champion IMO.
