Death Star vs. U.S.S. Enterprise
The Death Star Ship from Star Wars is run by Darth Vader and the same crew on Episode 4: the New Hope.
The U.S.S. Enterprise is commanded by Capt. Kirk and the original crew. They fight one on one in OUR solar system. Fight to the death. Who wins and why? I take the Enterprise because of its speed advantage. I don't think the Death Star's power (it destroyed an entire planet in one hit) would be a factor. |

I refuse to believe there are any winners in this discussion.

Re: Death Star vs. U.S.S. Enterprise
If the Death Star has the auxiliary ships it keeps inside it that travel with it, it's easily the death star.
Come to think of it, Star Wars >>>>>>>>>>>>&g t;>>>>>>>>> Star Trek so it's pretty much the Death Star under any circumstances. Capt. Kirk lacks the control of the force. |
Re: Death Star vs. U.S.S. Enterprise
Death Star dominates. It is the size of a small moon. The Enterprise isn't getting close enough to do much damage with phasers or photon torpedoes. Plus the Death Star has how many squadrons of tie fighters? Doubtful the Enterprise could defeat the Tie Fighters much less the whole Death Star.

Re: Death Star vs. U.S.S. Enterprise
U.S.S. Enterprise does the separation thing to confuse the death star. While they're doing that, send a bunch of those little shuttlecraft to shoot torpedoes into that little exhaust hatch. Deathstar explodes, Enterprise wins.
Aww snap, Kirk's Enterprise?!??!? Deathstar wins. |

What if Dark Helmet is manning the Death Star?

Enterprise vs. Imperial Cruiser with no escorts might be a lot more interesting. Or Enterprise vs. Millenium Falcon. Oooh. I just gave myself a chubby.

vader would just force choke the entire enterprise crew. game over.

damn you all
now I am forced to spend the remainder of my day off watching all 3 Star Wars movies in order |
Re: Death Star vs. U.S.S. Enterprise
Tie fighters are unshielded and easy to destroy. Enterprise has shields and with a quick remodulation of shields tie fighter weapons, Turbo Lasers, and Death Star Weapon would be ineffective.
If Vader is allowed to use the force then Q can show up and blink vader out of existance. Also enterprise has matter replicators and they can replicate yslerami which negate force powers |

So is this question like "Blonde or Brunette?" for guys who have never been laid?

Re: Death Star vs. U.S.S. Enterprise
Enterprise.
Enterprise shields render lasers useless. I believe the Death Star is nothing but a big Laser Array. Also Death Star has no shields, Enterprise can just keep Photon Torpedoes on repeat. |
Re: Death Star vs. U.S.S. Enterprise
Pop quiz: How large of a cube of water would the Death Star have to completely convert to energy in order to completely gravitationally unbind a planet similar to Earth?
|
Re: Death Star vs. U.S.S. Enterprise
The OPs original assumptions are flawed because we already know the death star can target individual ships.
Other flaws are: The Enterprise's shields last forever. The Enterprise has an unlimited number of photon torpedoes. Other: Do Kirk and crew know the death star's weekness? I don't think photon torpedoes fit inside the vent thingy. Enterprise has transporters to send ticking photon torpedoes straight to the death star core. I think enterprise wins by warping around the solar system while spock and scotty set up several time rigged photon torpedoes and get them ready for transport. Enterprise than warps in on the safer side of the deathstar and scotty sends the packages. Misc: I feel like a nerd again. |

Kirk Flying Body Tackle on Vader. If you honestly think there's a fight that can't be won with the JTKFBT, I just don't see how we can have a rational conversation about this. |

Re: Death Star vs. U.S.S. Enterprise
The Death Star would start out ahead, until the Enterprise crew reconfigured the neutrino array. I have never seen the crew of any Star Wars star ship reconfigure the neutrino array, thus they are doomed to lose any battle with a ship from the Star Trek universe.
Reconfiguring the neutrino array ftw. Would Darths Jedi mind tricks work on Spock? |

Re: Death Star vs. U.S.S. Enterprise
Does the Empire have any alien megababes that Kirk can seduce?
Can Spock mind-meld with Vader to learn the secrets of the force? CAan Scotty figure out how the damn thing defy's the laws of physics and destroys planets? i think the answer to 2 of 3 is yes. |
Re: Death Star vs. U.S.S. Enterprise
The Death Star is big, lumbering, but packs a huge wallop, kind of like a baseball bat.
The Enterprise is small, fast, and can fire phasers with great precision while traveling faster than the speed of light, kind of like a knife. I'll let you draw your own conclusions. |
Re: Death Star vs. U.S.S. Enterprise
A Star Destroyer vs Enterprise is the real battle (just like in the link posted earlier).
DS vs Enterprise is like Belgium attacking China. BTW, the turbolasers on the DS would keep the Enterprise at a distance until the turbolaser would do the final blow. The fault of the Enterprise is that the shuttle craft it has in it's bays are useless in this battle. Do they even have weapons? |

The ability to destroy a planet is insignificant next to the power of the force.
