PS Sun Mil: QQ facing 4bet shove from good player UTG

I posted this in the regular MTT Strat forum here and got a few real good replies, then I realized this forum exists...just looking for a few more opinions.

Villain seems good and aggro. 19/12/4. Positionally aware.

I am playing 14/12/4 and should have a solid image. I have 3 bet a few times but it was always vs LP raisers.

Against most donks this would be an automatic call vs this guy I'm not so sure.

His UTG raise shows some strength and when I 3 bet him from the SB that should show ALOT of strength, but he shoves anyway.

Call and pray for AK? I'm obv getting a great price (2.4:1) but is this has to be AA/KK most of the time, right?

Is there a better way to play the hand given my read?

Is just calling the original raise ever an option?

Is this post serious? Don't reraise preflop if you don't plan to snapcall his push.

So given my read on this guy would you prefer to get it all in preflop or just flat call the UTG raise and play poker postflop?

You can't fold QQ getting that price. You can't ever really fold QQ pre - flop for 25 BBs anyway (unless you are on a pay jump bubble or sat bubble in very specific circumstances). Basically - call now.

There is no point 3 betting him if you don't believe that you have a hand ahead of his range and are comfortable to get it all - in with.

I'm sorry if you lost the hand. It happens.

TT/JJ are in his range (although TT is significantly discounted) and AK is in there too (slightly discounted). You should also keep in mind that a lot of people hate 4betting with AA so that hand should be discounted too.

With the price that you are getting this is an instacall.

It should be expected that when you call and that he turns over a big hand but that does not mean that your call is wrong getting these odds.

I agree that you can't fold after reraising pf. I am not sure why you wanted to turn a hand as strong as QQ into a bluff

Well, I don't believe that he is only getting 25 BBs AIPF with just AA and KK. Surely he is sticking it in with JJ, 1010, AK also (and he should in any case)?

As I said, when playing shallow effective stacks I just 3 bet and try to get money in quickly with QQ. The pot is already decent when you factor in the antes. If you run into KK or AA it is unlucky moreso than anything else.

super easy ca11.

not a fan of your 3bet pre. not quite, but its almost like you're turning your QQ into a bluff where nothing better folds , which doesn't exactly sound like a great bet right?

Call and lose to AK when he improves. At least this way you go out knowing you made the right play.

You gotta dance with the ladies who brung ya.

In other words, I agree with those who said if you are not willing to go to the felt with QQ, then you should not have re-raised pf. So the question is really whether you are willing to commit your stack pf if need be, or alternatively just call and play a flop.
