Request To FT to Make Transfers Less Sketchy
The only information that FT asks for when you send a transfer is the screen name. This provides absolutely no security in case you typo or misspell something or remember someone's screen name wrong, etc. Every other site I've ever done a transfer on asks for something--person's location, first name, date of birth, whatever.
I don't know why FT doesn't do this, but I think they should start, and from talking to other people, I'm sure that many of you agree. So here's an open request to FT to change add some security questions. Feel free to recommend what specific security question you think they should use (IMHO, date of birth is the safest, but whatever. Anything would be fine.). |

Definitely agree with Noah, lets make this thing a lot more official. "sketchy" is a great word to describe it.

Re: Request To FT to Make Transfers Less Sketchy
I don't get why they don't do transfers like pokerstars buy/sell T$ forms.
|
Re: Request To FT to Make Transfers Less Sketchy
this should obviously be fixed.

Re: Request To FT to Make Transfers Less Sketchy
I agree with Noah. Everyone should email FTP about this and maybe in 2 years it will be changed.
|
Re: Request To FT to Make Transfers Less Sketchy
I've PMed FTPDoug about this thread, so hopefully mass e-mails and other things that would annoy FTP support and further slow them down aren't necessary.

Re: Request To FT to Make Transfers Less Sketchy
Since I also had accidently sent money to the wrong person on Full tilt (one letter off) and only got the same silly reply upon immediately realizing my mistake "if the player still has an account and agrees to return the money, that's the only way you can get it back"...
well, they could easily fix this to make it so others don't make that mistake. C'mon Full tilt...help us out here. |

Re: Request To FT to Make Transfers Less Sketchy
I like the entering the birthday info, or the first and last name, anything to make sure that mistakes aren't made.

I don't type the screen name. I'll copy and paste instead.

I'd like to see a feature to disable transfers and only be able to enable it by email

Re: Request To FT to Make Transfers Less Sketchy
Yea I find it despicable the way FullTilt handles transfers. It's absurd, you make one little typo and the idiot fisher who tries to make handles of everyone with one letter off, makes a bunch of money.
Honestly I just hate FullTilt and the way they do business. Until I'm forced to play there because there are no other acceptable options around, or until they become more customer friendly, I'm going to mostly stay away. |
