Moving to another site, which is best site for US Players?

I have read a lot of the threads about deposit problems, problems receiving checks on time, bad customer service, etc.

What is the best site? I am looking to transfer to a new home, but am a little leery of most of the sites now.

(Criteria, weigh as you see fit, whatever is most important to you-)

1) Painless transactions for US customers (Money IN and OUT)
2) Time frame for transactions
3) Customer support
4) Reliability of site (Crashes, etc)
5) Fishiness
6) Features, and usability of 3rd party software
7) Tournament variety/frequency
8) Person to person transfers allowed?
9) Add anything else that is worthwhile on your favorite site

I will give a little feedback on Sportsbook.com

1) Take regular CCs, so pretty good here
2) Deposits are immediate, have not made a withdrawal yet, but they are reported to be pretty poor
3) very poor CS. Dont return emails
4) Software seems buggy on the client side, but the site seems to be almost always up.
5) I do pretty well on the SNG, and fair on cash games, but i am nowhere near a moneymaker online yet
6) Very few features, no 3rd party software works that i am aware of
7) SNGs and tourneys are fairly frequent, but very few large tourneys
8) No

I used to play on FT until they made it so difficult to deposit. FT is much better, faster, cleaner, and withdrawals were a breeze (This was a few months ago). I think the fishiness on SB is better than FT

For the love of god, don't send him to sportsbook.

If he wants on that network, he should go through cake.

pokerstars is everything on your list except fishy.

IMO pokerstars has the toughest and tightest players out of any site.

I would have to strongly advise you to stay away from FTP.
Their customer service is laughable, bordering on non-existent.

FTP - If want rakeback, like to play with LAG's and don't mind if your accounts gets locked for no reason.

Stars - If you like support, player points and playing with nits.

The LAGs at FT are not worth the risk of getting your account taken away for no reason.

Re: Moving to another site, which is best site for US Players?

I've used ePassporte and had no problems at Cake, Stars, FT, UB, AP and Vegas Poker 24-7. Vegas Poker is a skin of Absolute and they don't deduct bonuses and fees like AP so of the 2 that is the best. Customer Support I've found is excellent at Stars but varies greatly at the other sites depending on the issue or who you talk to. Cake is the fishiest right now. I've never had any problems with software at any of these sites. All of these sites allow person to person transfers. You will find the most tournaments at Stars and FT. I'd get ePassporte and hit up the sign up bonuses at all the sites and see what suits you. UB doesn't pay rakeback on tournaments & sngs. Poker Stars doesn't pay rakeback at all but has a relatively low rake and a decent internal rewards system.

Prima/Microgaming also is a big network that allows US players but most will tell you (correctly) their software is below average.

I really think this risk is extremely overstated. I've had my issues with FT like a lot of other people, but getting your account taken away? I'm sure there are FT players all over 2+2 who have gotten their accounts taken away. There's one debate involving a player who was shut down for botting. Let's not be ridiculous.

You can feel safe playing at FT. But their customer service needs a lot of improvement. Your cashouts will usually come on time, but every once in a while they have major problems and delays. Contingency plans when problems arise don't seem to exist at FT. HOWEVER, when an error occurred with one of my cashouts FT did credit my account with $50. I also received cash on more than one occasion when I was playing during a time when they had network problems. These guys aren't all bad. They make a pretty honest effort to make things right, despite their numerous problems.

Ap is the only site my CC works consistantly with, and i can get a FedEx check from them in 1 week. Stars has incredible support, but tight games. Tilt is a trainwreck. UB had some issues early in the year with support, but seems to have gotten their act together. They have good in-bound and out-bound deposit/withdrawal options also. Right now I am playing at Ap the most because of the easy deposit/withdrawal methods, fishy games, and the badbeatjackpot.

And for the folks that are successful, how many are using 3rd party software? pokertracker, etc?

BTW, what is a LAG?

(thanks for the feedback!)
