Negreanu
I prepaid for his book on Amazon about a year and a half ago. Any idea when it will be finished??
Shoot, they should send me a free book, or pay me interest. |

I know he's got other stuff going on, but what's the point in announcing something and then not being able to follow through. Makes him look pretty bad IMO. |
Re: Negreanu
A prop bet may result in the book getting done, but it would also likely result in the book being of a lesser quality.
These things take time. When you add multiple authors to the equation it will likely take even more time. |

He's a writer/player, not a player/"writer". Must be like herding cats. For someone who's main living isn't writing, how much harder would it be to do that kind of heavy lifting? It would be a labor of love, and few have that kind of love for that much labor. |

[/ QUOTE ] yep, i know of books being written/almost done being written that im sure wont be put in print for at least a year. theyre also currently being sold for large large sums compared to how much it will cost on release. |
Re: Negreanu
Correct me if I'm wrong, and I probably am, but whats the point of preordering. It's not like its gonna sell out like PS3 or anything.
|
Re: Negreanu
I wouldn't pre-order until I hear they have the manuscript and it is on the way to the printer. I am in touch with Cardoza and can let you all know when that happens.

Re: Negreanu
He sucks at having things not limp out 18 months after the planned release date.

Negreanu is a germ.

[/ QUOTE ] You pre-paid or just pre-ordered? I pre-ordered, but they won't charge my credit card until it ships. If I'd pre-paid I'd consider cancelling and getting the refund. |
Re: Negreanu
It will be released along with Chinese Democracy.

Re: Negreanu
I paid. I used a gift card to order three poker books. At the time (February 2006), they said it was going to be out within a couple of months. I thought that if Amazon was listing it, and selling it, it was very close to being done - like at the printer. How wrong I was. To their credit, they did offer a refund the last time they notified me of yet another 8 month delay. Guess I should have taken them up on it.
