Which is better and why?

Atm i am leaning towards the N95 cos the iPhone isn't out here in the UK till later in the year (probably Christmas?) But the iPhone does look so [censored] sweet...

I'm in the same situation. I'll probably get the N95 in the next couple of weeks. The iPhone has some absolutely bizarre shortcomings - you can't send a text message to multiple recipients, for instance. If there is stuff that basic wrong, I'd rather have something else for a year and look at it again when the next update comes out.

Look at the *quality* of the results. It's just fanboy BS. I'd rather hear from people who haven't made a decision yet, and aren't being paid by either supplier.

I'm mostly excited for what phones will be in 18 months or so.

If you couple the iphone interface, and teh large storage capacity, and everything the n95 actually does, it would be the perfect phone imo.

exactly. I hope (and think) that's what the 2nd version of Iphone will be.

Although I'm an applications engineer I'm not a gadget weenie and I'm not the type that cares about having the latest and greatest gadget. Simple and serviceable is great. Despite that, I am completely in lust with the N95. When I first saw pre-release versions Nokia people were testing I was practically drooling. I was supposed to have one by now but they have been so wildly popular in the UK that availability has been an issue. With any luck I might get one in September when I go for my next Finland trip.
