Post a local band that you think are really good
If you know any good bands/musicians that are from where you live, that aren't widely known, post them up.
Post your location too, and a link to their tracks if you can. I'll start with Fight Like Apes, from Dublin Ireland. Maybe not to everyones taste but they put on a great live show and write catchy stuff. |

Blackbud - Jeff Buckley-esque vocals with Cream/Hendrix type backing.
Karma Mechanics - Might as well blow my own trumpet and plug my band, we've been told we're pretty good..Think Muse/At The Drive-In/The Faint etc Clumsy - Acousticy folky reggae type stuff from Bristol. |

OK, they're not really a local band, because they apparently come from the planet Venus.. but they play locally. Valient Thorr put on the best live show i've ever seen, when they were opening for Fu Manchu a few months ago.

McKinley Place
Probably one of the best acts in St. Cloud, MN. They get their stuff played at Timberwolves games pretty frequently and absolutely pack the Red Carpet (St. Cloud's big live music bar) every time they play. They've started playing outside St. Cloud more often and have a date listed in Ames soon, too. Check out Faded and Tell Me When I Get There. |
