Define easier.

Easier to play on (which has best software)

or

Easier to win on (Fishiest!)

Please read the headline of the poll again and be quiet.

At the 200NL level I've found Full Tilt to be way, way, way fishier than stars.

pattern mapper: noun. a means for those who believe that sites are rigged which can beat the riggness(is that a word?) by knowing which cards will fall. it is often used in conjuction by wearing a tin foil hat to further disrupt the sites cheating. be sure the shiny side is out.

pattern mapper and tin foil hats are long time jokes here at the zoo(internet gambling forum.)

in all seriousness, its often difficult to get reasonable answers or info. too many smart asses who think they are funny.

i cant answer your poll/question directly as i dont play FT. too many issues still unresolved. because PS has so many more players, i think PS has more fish. a better question would be what is the shark to fish ratio.

welcome to the forums.

edit: spelling and clarity.

Maybe it's sample size? I've found them to be almost equal, but Stars a little fishier.

No, this is with well over 100k hands logged on both sites. It seems like with Full Tilt I can just jump onto any old table and expect it to be decent, whereas with Stars the majority of tables seem to be rock gardens, and even with a lot of table selection the games seem to be noticably tighter. That's just in my experience, though.

Re: which is easier, full tilt or pstars?

i agree with clever. stars is not as fishy as most players think. look at the low stakes limit and NL games. flop % less than 25. too funny in a sad way. pot sizes are not what they should be.

as the mid sized sites continue to have problems (read UB and AP) the sharks move to PS. UB and AB have been known for their tightness. the fish go bust and are gone from the scene.

They are both rigged in the favor of a losing player.

There are fish at 200NL? I play 25NL on FT and all I run into are aggro 19/15s! Seriously though, I haven't played on Stars for a while but I remember when moving to FT (10NL) I noticed a generally higher level of aggression there.

I guess a fish at 25NL is someone like 70/30 and a fish at 200NL is someone who just plays badly postflop, regardless of the stats.

There are a good number of players who are awful both pre and postflop at the 200NL level. Granted, there are also more good regulars to deal with as well, but there's a surprising number of 50/30 and 40/2 players at this level, and a good number of the players with decent preflop stats are still pretty bad postflop.

Re: which is easier, full tilt or pstars?

Stars has more players - more fish and also more good players.

I think the ratio favors Tilt though.

Tilt - More LAG.
Stars - LAP, TAG or Nitty.

you really should get the log(8) pattern mapper, and not the old log(6) version.

i dont think it matters in terms of fishiness i tihnk it matter if the sites want to let you win that day. FT only lets the regs win

The official release is next Thursday, beta testers are reporting a 2BB/100 winrate improvement so far on FT.

Re: which is easier, full tilt or pstars?

it seems that the best hand holds up alot more often on full tilt but you catch a ton of coolers, i.e. second set, full house vs quad. Pokerstars just lets you get it in 90% favorite and throws runner runner down your throat....gg donkey wins. i think they're about equal in fishiness. Full tilt is more fun
