Colorado Poker
Hello Everyone,
I am starting up a home game in the Boulder, CO area and was looking to see if anyone on these boards were interested. Please respond or PM me with name/number/email if interested. We will most likely start with $.50/1 blind NLHE and probably a small tournament before side game action. |

Re: Colorado Poker
Alba, PM me your email address and I will add you to the list. We had our first game on Tuesday and it was a great success. We will probably do bi-weekly starting next week.

Re: Colorado Poker
I am going to be ordering a large set of custom chipco chips soon and I was looking for some help with the design. I am not good with programs to help me create chip designs either.
My first set I order is going to be Base color white for $0.25 chip Base color blue for $1 chip Base color red for $5 chip Base color green for $25 chip I am going to be ordering a large quantity of these so I would like them to be as nice as possible. I was thinking of doing a theme of the outline of curvacious women in different poses on the fronts of the chips. If anyone had any ideas, that would be greatly appreciated. |
Re: Colorado Poker
go look at www.chiptalk.net They have lots of ideas.
I would not be interested in making the trek up to Boulder, but I run a game in Aurora, if anyone is interested, PM me. |
Re: Colorado Poker
Looks like there is interest in a mix game in the form of pot limit. Please PM if interested in either game.

Re: Colorado Poker
I'm in Lakewood and would like to find a home game. Won't play at places like toads b/c of moral turpitude clause in professional licensing.
|
Re: Colorado Poker
"moral turpitude"? What do you mean? The toad tavern is a social club and is totally legit.

Re: Colorado Poker
According to CBI, you cannot legally play for $$ in an establishment with a liquor license -- even if it is a social club.
That said, currently they are not going after "social clubs" like they have at the toad. Their focus is on games where there is drugs or when people complain about being cheated. Like the greek game downtown (or so I have been told). If some drunk fish drops a grand at the toad and then calls up CBI to complain, do you really believe that game won't be shut down? The myth about them being grandfathered in is just that. If you don't want to take my word, call CBI. So, while they are not raiding the toad or the lions club game, both are technically illegal. While there is some dispute about whether illegal gambling qualifies as moral turpitude in Colorado, I would just as soon not spend my hard earned dough to be the landmark case. Re: Colorado Poker
The social game exemption covers the toad, just like they can sell booze on Sundays. They are just like a country club in that respect.
I think that the greek game downtown is illegal, as it is raked. There are several other games downtown that are social clubs and are not raked. |
