Songs you know that have really intense climaxes
First off, I'm not gay. But today I was in the car listening to a Boys 2 Men song: "I'll Make Love To You", and I noticed that it has a really powerful climax toward the end. Hoping that you guys have some of these kinds of songs come to mind, I would love to listen to anything with a nice jam-out or climax.

A Day in the Life which is the last track on Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club. The ending features the famous E-major chord on multiple pianos that lasts for about a minute I think.

Play Freebird. |
Re: Songs you know that have really intense climaxes
Ooooh.
Chicago reminds me. I think the fade-out on the song Beginnings deserves consideration. Some of the more 'intense' endings I'm thinking of are more like drawn-out fades. Those are more intense to me but perhaps in a way is the opposite of what the original post is seeking. as for the ending of Beginnings, it's an 8:00 long song but the end of it extends for awhile in a fun instrumental jam. The brass and other instruments gradually fade away leaving you with just the random percussion thingees keeping the beat. Usually on the radio the version the DJ has cuts it off early which sucks. |

Re: Songs you know that have really intense climaxes
okay, as long as I've steered this thing towards oldies AM-radio land, the trumpet stuff at the end of Raindrops Keep Fallin on My Head by Burt Bacharach performed by B.J. Thomas was always one of my favorite endings.
More recently, Ben Folds Five covered this song and REALLY played up the finish. |
Re: Songs you know that have really intense climaxes
