Yeah she was the aggro chipleader if I remmeber correctly.
I believe she has been sponsored by Stars for a while now, like for the latest season of the EPT or so.

Cool that she delivers, I'd love to hear from people who have played with her (duck?).

she just won a razz event.

you expect her to be excited?
no one is ever going to know she won anything.
Most people thought she was just playing some weird side game and not in an actual turnament.

I thought her interview was awesome and she rules. Seriously. I really thought she came off well. Only thing she could have done better is said "Tournaments are stupid, who cares?"

By the way, anyone who takes down O'Niel in a lowball game when he is the dominating leader is pretty cool in my book. Katja played very well in that tournament from reading through the hand histories. A++

Even though it probably feels crap to win at Razz, at least the bracelet has more value than the one from the women's event.

Who would ever be excited after playing razz for two days. I entered the Razz event because for a brief moment I lost my mind. We started with 3000 in chips and by the dinner break I had around 5500. The prospect of hanging around the Rio for one hour at 930pm and then playing more razz had me so excited that I went home and never returned. Razz has to be the most ridiculously boring tournament one could imagine.

LOL that's pretty funny, she sounds so nonchalant about the whole thing. But I do also find it a little bit sad - I mean, if you can't be excited about yr first bracelet what can you get excited about?!

I loved her sense of humor. Sometimes I feel like a European in an Americans body. She has an understated confidence and is able to speak her mind while being funny and just mildly offensive to tourney players everywhere. Plus she made fun of the ugly ass bracelets that everyone else is always showing off.

when you play enough poker you just sorta subconsciously train yourself not to care about results and you also sort of just become immune to results in a way. in the same way she isn't devastated every time she busts out of a tourney she isn't going to be ecstatic after winning one (specifically like others have said some random gay razz event). also, germans don't have souls.

I met her at the PCA in the Bahamas in January. I've read her husbands blog off and on for a couple of years. She was more than polite and sociable towards me. We chatted a bit about strategy. She didn't talk down to me.

All and all, my impression of her was an attractive, intelligent, self-confident woman. Not in the least bit self-important or condescending.

Pretty damn good poker player on top of it.
