SSNL POKER [cheese] thread JUNE PT 3

Please don't clutter the forum by starting crappy threads. The open forum is mostly for hand threads and a few theory posts here and there. Fill this thread with only poker related content. Things you'd like to share or ask about, but probably aren't worthy of their own thread.

For example, stuff like this:

--Full Tilt is a ROCK GARDEN!!!1!!
--What's a good winrate?
--Wow, how do you guys play more than 3 tables at once?
--graphs/stats
--busto/robusto/rostucko
--silly, odd, peculiar hands
--does anyone still play at UB?
--here's my stats over 300 hands, move up?
--best players at NL200 Party?
--non-strat questions that aren't worthy of their own thread
--various other poker junk/crap/misc.

Also, NO FLAMING PLEASE. And please don't circumvent the profanity filters by creative means. And don't break the cheese thread by posting oversized images!

Enjoy!

Please note we have another cheese-type thread for non-poker related OT content called SSNL [Life].

Re: SSNL POKER [cheese] thread JUNE PT 3

ninja xposted~

Hey guys. I'll try to make this brief. Basically I decided to open my horizons since I've decided to buy a house and it seems like a good idea to generate a more solid and consistent form of income in case poker [censored] on me, so I've decided to start coaching. If you don't care, skip over the rest of this post.

My brief story: I started poker February 2006 (last year), knowing close to nothing about the game and only having played with friends once for play chips (and having no idea how to play then). I signed up for an old $50+$25 bonus promotion on PartyPoker on Liquidpoker and took up to learning how to play the game. Basically I luckboxed it into $200 playing with my whole roll, and then moved to PokerStars where all the ballers were to start grinding 10NL. Since then I've been moving up extremely disciplined with bankroll requirements, and although I've had some hardcore tilt sessions like everyone else, I am for the most part a very consistent player and have worked my way up from 10NL to 600NL back in October, I believe. Since then I've been a strong regular player, improving my play gradually until now. I believe (and have been told by other good players) that I could play 1000NL and still make a good profit, and even though I'm bankrolled for it, for a while want to stay away from the psychological stress, so I've been playing 3/6 for a while However, I can coach anything up to 1000NL.

So for good advertising, since I don't really have any really awesome low-variance 200k hand graphs to show, I figured I'd post these: these are the only two datamines of stars 3/6 I've ever seen posted on 2+2, and here they are:

http://img242.imageshack.us/img242/3...marymn7.th.jpg A datamine of November 2006

http://img101.imageshack.us/img101/5...mvd6gw7.th.jpg A datamine of March 2007

I am an intelligent and disciplined player, and an eloquent and versatile coach; if you're looking to improve your play and understand concepts simply, please PM me for coaching/rates.

Thanks,
ipokeder

Guys, how well are you running with AA over a decent sample?

Right now in my 200nl run, I've played 35k hands and won 8.4k, and 5.3k of that is from AA. I've had it 149 times over the 35k sample. Is this standard variance, do I suck not playing monsters, or can anyone come up with another explanation?

Well.. Yeh.
I know everyone goes on about how much aces get cracked but if you play them properly they're always going to be the biggest earner over enough hands as they're the best cards!

fark im lazy. Soooo I am on a mission to play 20k hands minimum before the end of the month - anyone want to prop bet on it? Only thinking around $200 bc im not that much of a gambooler. Its going to be harder than it seems because I have to move house at the end of the month but I really need to get a lot of hands in before that happens because I could be without internet for a week or so.

Just a quick question I couldn't find an answer on.

At full ring, the regulars often play 12 tables. How many do the majority of regular shorthanded players play at once?
I would imagine 8 but it's a guess and can't find it anywhere.

Re: SSNL POKER [cheese] thread JUNE PT 3

yeah 6-9. I can play 12 tables of 6-max but my reads suck and I end uip playing like 17/12. I prefer 6 tables and no more than 8 where I can play my 23/17 game. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

Hope to add one soon but it's hard to add tables again now that I got used to less tables [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

Borgata is definitely the best casino in AC as far as poker goes. Not sure about the getting carded factor, but I think you should have a fake ID just in case you do get carded, which there is a pretty good chance you will.
