PokerStars Main Event Satellites

I have recently won a $1050 PokerStars ME satellite ticket, and after reading some of the posts in this forum, I am wondering what will happen if I do indeed win a Main Event Package in the satellite. I guess if it's relevant I should disclose that I am from St. Louis, MO.

Now, what I am wondering is, if I do with the package, will PS automatically sign me up for the ME at Rio, or will I have the responsibility of registering myself after cashing money out?
The reason I ask is because if PokerStars does indeed just deposit all $12K in my account, how can I register for the ME if I cannot practically cash that much money out in less than a month? Also, how can PS verify that I even play the ME if this is the case, or that I wore their PS hat for the extra $1,000 they throw in?

Thanks for anyone who can help!

Pokerstars has 24/7 support on their website. I bet they know the answers to their own systems :P.

PokerStars support is quite slow. Also, I don't really know if they will answer these questions.

Yeah, I've several times (in my 5+ year long time a Stars player) had to wait more than 4 hours to get a reply from support.

I don't remember any instances of more than 5 hours wait, though.

EDIT: Oh yes, there was the time when I insisted I wanted a reply from Lee Jones personally. It took until next day.

Email them and type URGENT in the sub. There email responses are usually pretty good.

???

What, pray tell, would you consider "adequate" support?

They are easily the best in the business, both in terms of speed and quality of support.

In fact, I would say that they are the model to be emulated for ANY business...

Tory,

PS support is quite 'adequate'. This doesn't mean that they are not relatively slow when it comes to answering a question like mine compared to people on this message board.

I have a follow-up question: If I do win the ME package from PS and I am prevented from playing in the ME (say because of sickness), does PS have any legal basis for confiscating the $10K in my account?

we just have different definitions of slow, I guess...

Short answer - based on nothing at all but what I've heard & read - is that they give you cash. No strings attached.

You know what would be even faster than PS support AND this forum? If you'd just have read the PS FAQ on this to begin with. Maybe not all, but at least most, of your WSOP package questions are answered there.

Welcome to the forums. For the future remember that you'll get a lot better, more informative responses if you take just a little time and search for your own answers first.

So it looks like I was mistaken. I definately underestimated the thoroughness of the PokerStars FAQ site.

Anyway, for those who care, they just deposit the $11,000 into your account in cash, and then it's up to you to register. If you want to just keep the money in your PS account or cash it out for drug pickups, you're welcome to. No strings attached.
