$200r KK annoying spot
I havn't been paying a whole lot of attention, so I dont really have any reads. I think preflop is optimal as utg knows me and will be calling/pushing [pretty tight. Would anyone do anything different on flop/turn? Can i call river?

Re: $200r KK annoying spot
I would of course reraise preflop despite your feelings on the villain. Your hand isn't so strong that you want a multiway pot, which is often going to happen when you flat call and let everyone in cheaply.
It's not really the end of the world to take down 2000 uncontested, thus increasing your stack size by 20%. Ok obviously its okay to call preflop I just don't think I'd do it. Meanwhile you probably lose any ace high flop since they will bet and you will likely fold. I dunno I just don't like it here. |
Re: $200r KK annoying spot
Postflop is there any reason not to push the turn?

" djk123 calls t1200 "
This is pretty much what made you post this on 2p2. |
Re: $200r KK annoying spot
As PLAYED,
-The call pre-flop is not completely terrible. -Ugly flop, BB Calls a bet with UTG to act behind him on a very dry board, He has a Q a lot of times here. -His turn bet is def. a call given how small it is. -River is a fold, since all we beat is a bluff and a lot of small pairs that he wouldn't bet that way on the river. Probably raise/ Call preflop 80%/20% Bet Flop shove turn. |
Re: $200r KK annoying spot
I don't think his call preflop is as bad as you guys are making it look because a lot of the times he will induce some sort of squeeze from the blinds... only part about this hand that sucks is the flop, because the BB's calling range w/ his pot odds definitely contain Q9s,Q10s etc, but that being said, I still think i shove the turn

Re: $200r KK annoying spot
plz rereaise preflop with KK. if he calls your reraise it gives u a better idea of his hand and you still have position on both players throughout the hand

" djk123 calls t1200 " This is pretty much what made you post this on 2p2. [/ QUOTE ] um what? imo calling here is the most +ev play, despite being higher variance. If i reraise here my hand looks soooo strong and utg will be able to fold most of his worse hands. i posted this hand cause i thought postflop was interesting. |
Re: $200r KK annoying spot
If everyone is pushing the turn, why are we folding the river? The 5d is not helping his hand, and we look weak by not raising his anemic turn bet.

Re: $200r KK annoying spot
What kind of villain plays a queen like this? That bet on the turn looks like he is ready to fold if you raise it. Once you flat call, he assumes you dont have a queen, and shoving either as a bluff or with something like JJ.
I would call. |
Re: $200r KK annoying spot
I like how you played it if you snap called that river. On the flop you are last to act, you do not represent a huge holding, on the turn you call a tiny bet so you don't represent anything again. CALL CALL CALL

I would raise pre here, but I don't think it's that bad just calling.Yes,it is a little risky, but it also gives us a chance to win a big pot. Villain's bets are so weird though. His flop call reeks of a Q,but wouldn't he bet more on turn if he had one? 3000 wouldn't be that big in relation to potsize, and it would guarantee him to get his money in on the river. I think we could easily be up against 99 or something like that here. With the way we played this hand pf,BB has no idea how strong we are,add that to the fact that we didn't raise his weak flopbet, his ai looks more like an attempt to get us off TT/JJ or something like that. |
