Dutch: "I have a goal for this series. Four Bracelets. Two bracelets has been done to death. Three in one year has been done before....But four...now that's never been done before and would go down in poker history as the greatest achievement ever in poker. Wow I wonder what his excuses will be if wins 4 braclets and still stiffs the people that lost money on his poker site.....
Possible excuses:

My dog ate my money,

I pissed it all away,

I lost it to the devil in an arm wrestling contest

I'm and fing genius I don't need ethics....

Don't bother me I'm learning new Chip tricks to impress my opponents

If only Dutch had a little more $$ to his name, there would be the prospect of a Dutch-Brandi hookup. It would create threads the likes of which NVG would never forget!

A few years back, Dutch Boyd was supposed to have run out on some folks without paying back money he had borrowed but now he seems to have fans. Does anyone recall the story?

Cliff notes:

Dutch started a poker site. It ran into financial difficulties, he claims because one of his payment processors ran off with a bunch of money. He used players money to cover operating costs (a big no-no). As things were going South in a hurry, he had a buyout offer which would have covered all his players deposits and left him about $200 grand. He turned it down when he discovered (although he allegedly had already signed the contract) that the sale contained and non-compete that would keep him out of the online poker room business for a few years.

The business went down the toilet and all the players lost the money they had on the site, some for considerable amounts.

Some people hold him extra-culpable because for a month or so as his business failed and some players were having trouble getting at their money, he kept telling the players that everything was fine in order to avoid a run on the bank.
