dude, hand 3, this is horrible, he has to be god awful to ever call 99-JJ there, id rather make that play with 87s than QQ, either you are forcing a worse hand out or getting called by a better one, in this hand you are flipping and thats assuming he would call with AK there

Well in hand 3 I hate just calling. If I raise to $160 I think Im calling a push so I don't see how I'm not going broke here anyway. Stars is a joke. I get KK vs AA and QQ vs KK/AA more than anyone blind vs blind or blind vs button.

why not call, this way you have an easy play on most flops, you can pretty safely fold if there is an ace, probably if there is a king, other flops you are dominating a lower overpair often, sometimes you run into AA or KK here postflop and you are in a bad spot, but you can get a decent amount of money out of suited connectors that make a draw or lower overpairs

I generally have bad luck in calling here when they have a junky hand like 68 suited and they end up flopping big (like 66J),etc. I guess its the standard play.

I played for like three hours and it came at my in all directions; plus it hurts like hell to lose at $1/2 after I've been playing at $2/4 and realize how freaking soft that game is.

fgators, n/o, i ve played with you in the 2/4 games, you're not that good. from what i have seen, i dont think you're much more than a break even player. The 2/4 games on stars have gotten a lot tougher these last few months.
