Won bit less than $2k today playing $1/$2nl at the casino. Highlight of the night was when I pushed $350 over some lady in a wheelchairs $150 call ($500 total), she asks the dealer if I am all in, dealer says yes, she says "God bless you (to me)," then calls. Ship the $1.2k pot, biggest of my life.

Question for all the HU cash players, Ive been playing some more heads-up cash, is it bad manners for me to sit out once I shortstack someone and ask them to rebuy? Obviously I dont want to sit with someone who has $25 at $100nl and I tell them I am not hit and running and am willing to rebuy.

After being constantly making a mistake of playing short-stacks I type it without any embarrasment or hesitation. When I stack off some1 and he become shortstack I just say so. Rebuy pls to at least 40 bbs. I don't care if they start typing sh it.

I kind of doubt they do. While I don't have first hand knowledge of the SA brewery, I did a little consulting for a Mass. Vodka distillery. There are a lot of laws about who can and can't sell alcohol. Generally alcohol producers must sell there alcohol to a distributer and can't direct sell. This made it so that it wasn't cost effective for the company I worked with to try to sell alcohol at there in distillery shop.

I'm from boston, right outside actually, in Framingham if you know where that is. I've lived here my entire life and I never thought of even going to the sam adams brewery. Has anyone seen those commercials for the brew kits they sell, because it would be pretty sweet to brew your own beer

That sucks if they don't/can't sell beer at their brewery, kind of limits options/marketing for any future breweries.

We have a few good breweries out by me (south chicago/burbs) and I don't think any of them would survive if they couldn't sell their own beer at the brewery. At the very least they would not be nearly as successful as they are today. We're talking top midwest breweries here too, not like John's Basement Brewery or some [censored].

no [censored]? I grew up in Acton, right off of 495, lol. I'm down in North Carolina now, but spent 20+ years in Mass. Even went to Umass (ZooMass) Amherst. At least that's how it was when I went through, lol. Some jackass even pushed a cow off of the top of one of the towers. Strange times...

Yeah I love the sports in Mass and you can get some good food, but that's about it honestly. I got another year of school. After that, I don't have any intention of sticking around. Maybe if I have a crazy amount of money some day, I'll get a summer house on the cape.

I agree that the weather stinks up there. I hate the winters there. North Carolina is much nicer, and less expensive. Still, mass is home, and I like to make it up there to visit friends and family. Plus I like Foxwoods [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

Pats are a no brain, my brother has season tix. Got em' back in the days of Zolak and good ole' missin' sisson. I have to make it up there at least once each season to catch a game.

Football, and Foxwoods. what more could anyone ask for?

Anyone remember back in the day (like 4 years ago) when you could actually get sox tickets from the website? And not have to pay 30 bucks for bleachers? ahh the good old days

I go to Bentley college in Waltham. I think it's secular/private. I went to Catholic school for everything before college. Needless to say, they didn't do a very good job. Not only am I not Catholic, I gambol for a living. I always got A's in theology too. Go figure.

these turbo nl sngs are dumb

i use SAGE and Sklansky -Chubukov numbers for when blinds get big (since most matches get to the 50/100 level) and i'm breakeven over my last 300. they end up in coinflips or 60/40, or me making correct push and running into a better hand, etc.

compare that to the non-turbos where i have an ROI of 18% of my last 250.

You must have 10-20, 15-30 and/or 25-50 leaks if a majority of your matches are lasting that long.

Also I find that I have a big advantage over a lot of players in the 100 big blind levels and above.

I'm talking 33s-55s or fishy 110 players, I'm not sure if you play higher or lower, but post some hands because there is certainly more profit at the turbos, albeit a bit higher variance. But who's afraid of a little variance?

Hi HU players!!!

Im going to tackle HU sng's. To prepare for this I have read all 56 pages of this forum (ChicagoRy has tons of interesting posts). I also have been using google for the past 3 days trying to dig up any info that will be helpful. Mostly blogs or info on full table sng's that are down to heads up but I did get a general idea for a basic strategy.

I have reread the chapter in HOHII on HU play and Im curious as to any opinions you guys may have on this chapter.

I have an extra $100 to dedicate to HU sng's and plan on getting my feet wet at FT's $2 games. I will see how things go before making any plans on moving up.

From what I have read on this forum, it seems that if you apply yourself and continually try to improve your game, HU sng's have some monies to be made. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

Im looking forward to participating in the HU discussions found here.

Obvious push preflop (folding is worse than raising to 600) Im not sure I get why you raised to 600 instead of pushing though just getting cutesy?.
