Post that was just deleted
So about the post that was just deleted, as was Josh's suggestion, how many people have tried the trial? I'm a bit paranoid about trying unknown software, so I'm hoping some other people can tell me it's safe.

Re: Post that was just deleted
I agree -- although it was spammy, it's something that most of us care very much about.
How bout an exception in these times of duress mods? |
Re: Post that was just deleted
my point wasn't that it's spam. spam implies unsolicited and that certainly wasn't unsolicited. i just thought it would be best to keep out the link and the conversation revolving around it. maybe he can set up an email list for interested people?

Re: Post that was just deleted
Teddy, the post was not deleted due to spamminess. It was deleted for the protection of the project. Josh's suggestion was a very good one, but I haven't seen the follow-up thread, yet. I'm also wondering how many others have tried the software, and whether or not it's legit.

[/ QUOTE ]We often allow developers 1 announcement of their product, especially if it's a benefit to the forum and they're a respected poster. From then on, they're only to answer direct questions. (For instance, Josh answers "How do I fix PAHud?", but stays quiet with regards to "What HUD should I use?". Josh = awesome.) I deleted the thread because the OP requested it. As far as I'm concerned, he's still allowed his one announcement. -Sam edited for some clarity |

Re: Post that was just deleted
oh - i c and i agree that it should be kept off these boards.
SamIAm - would appreciate an update in a day or two to confirm that it has continued to work as advertised. |
Re: Post that was just deleted
Ok, I'm trying the program right now. Does anyone have a guess as to what the risk of getting one's account shut down is? I like this stuff as much as anyone else, but it's not worth losing my bankroll over.

Re: Post that was just deleted
Does anyone know if there is a similar program for Absolute?

Re: Post that was just deleted
can someone pm me the relevant info here? if this is what i think it is i'd like to be in on it

Re: Post that was just deleted
I can verify that PHT works as advertised. I'm using Zone Alarm Pro and there is no instance of the program attempting to transfer any data to any site nor were any keyloggers or anything of the like detected. I've also checked all of my TCP connections and PartyHandTracker definitely is not connected to any third party sites.
So from what I can tell everything seems very much legit. Best regards, APerfect10 |

Re: Post that was just deleted
Well I'll renew my suggestion that was made in the thread that was deleted:
I really really really wish there were a filtering type feature, because PT's 'import observed hands' window was the only place I could tell PT to only import hands with between x and y players. I don't want any 2 to 4 handed hands fouling up my PT DB. Perhaps the fellow who made PlayerCount (the best little app you've never heard of by the way) might kindly add Party functionality (it only does UB, Stars, and Pacific as of right now). Re: Post that was just deleted
I used it (the trial version) without logging on my Party account
Seems to work fine with 4 tables and if I'm not wrong it does show mucked hands as well. Anyone used the full version yet? |

Re: Post that was just deleted
I'm using the full version. It seems to be working, except that I feel like I'm importing less hands/hour than I should be. APerfect10, I'm thinking we should try to keep the name of the program out of this discussion. The original thread was deleted for the protection of the project, and I feel like my thread is starting to do the complete opposite. Maybe the mod can edit that post?

Re: Post that was just deleted
I've got the trial running, and so far no problems.
Ordering the full version is going to involve me making a bank transfer since the payment processor won't accept freemail accounts for online ordering. This will take a few days. Anyone have a full version up and running yet? Or if you managed to order a copy by credit card and email, how did you do it? EDIT: hmm, this ordering process seems a bit odd. Not sure why the processor won't take a freemail account for credit card orders, or why they don't take PayPal or NeTeller. Anyone uncomfortable with it? |

Re: Post that was just deleted
Is it just me, or is $50 waaay too steep for this extremely limited program. I could see it having a $50 value if it did this PLUS what Supa-Bill's program does (or hopefully WILL do soon).
But come on, really. Compared to the level of utility AND support provided by others such as Josh and Orca I just don't see the value here. Count me as part of the market that values the functionality being offered, but who is willing to wait for a competitor with a more reasonable price point or a more complete feature set. |

Re: Post that was just deleted
I tried the trial version on 10 tables and it works fine.I dont think I'm going to pay $50 thu for the ability to only mine 10 tables and not have it be automated like PartyMine-you will need to manually open/close and reopen tables it looks like-ive only spent 15 minutes with it.
Supamine was the balls-at least for LHE it had tons of NLHE bugs. I could run 70 tables overnite.. Now if an app comes out that will allow automation on a large number of tables I'm there..I'm so spoiled by Supamine. This program is a bastardized version of PartyMine ..PartyMine did its job well -Supamine this isnt. If you could use this app and open up more than 10 tables either by running multiple instances of the app/logging into multiple party accounts it would be more useful..can it do more than 10 tables? You dont need to login to mine 4 tables but to log 10 you must login. Without the abilty to open multiple Party clients how can we mine more than 10 tables? I have enough data anyway right now..I'm waiting for a better solution..really I rather not do any of this stuff myself .I'd rather pay someone a monthly fee to do it for me-burnt out on spending time on this crap. |

Re: Post that was just deleted
I have the full version up and running and it appears to be ok. I'll report again tomorrow.
And for those of you who say the program is limited and you don't want to pay $50? Something more extensive will probably come out at some point, but then again party may disable this completely at some point. Get it while you can. |

Anything one guy whips out in 2 days is not worth $50. [/ QUOTE ] It was not whiped in 2 days, it took more time to get the initial version out. It does require an advanced level of tech skill to program such a thing, probably that is why there is no competitor at the moment. It is the same reason why I did put that price on it. If anyone thinks he can do better and at a lower price - I welcome all fair competition. Since I started selling it I worked constantly on fixing minor problems and adding various features. At the moment Party Tracker is at version 1.3 and Stars Tracker at version 1.1 and I am proud of what I achieved with them both. Upgrades were free of charge until now and I intend to keep them that way. I do offer support to the best of my abilities to any customer that has a problem with my products. |
