I'll start.

A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole.

This book was flat out the funniest thing I have ever read. If they got someone great to play the main character, Ignatius, then this movie could really be special.

It wouldn't even have to be any good. Directing from beyond the grave alone would guarantee it's place among the legends of Hollywood. Heck, digging ol' Stanley up and propping him up in the director's chair would guarantee something better than Deuce Bigilow: European Gigolo.

Chuck Palahniuk's Survivor was supposed to be made into a movie, but then scrapped in pre-production. I feel it was a better book than Fight Club, and is worthy of the silver screen treatment.

Metal gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. You wouldn't really even need a new script. That game is a masterpiece.

Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand comes to mind, but it might take more than one movie.

Also, Stephen King's Dark Tower series would make for a good series of movies.

Video game movies almost never seem even average.

I dont see any great story line that came from the game. It would be kind of cool to see the familiar races and vehicles in live action though.

gta was a great game, but the plots/stories were awful.

Really? I read the story in the instruction manual several times [img]/images/graemlins/blush.gif[/img] and found it fascinating. I definetly played all the missions and brood war missions just for the story. I know there is a lot of fan literature on the game, and there might even be some official novels or short story collections.

I would like to see starcraft done WELL. Thats probably asking too much though. However, if they got Paul Verhoeven involved, it would rule to no end.

Yup. The cast was pretty good. Malcolm McDowell and John Rhys-Davies and pornstar Ginger Lynn all in it. The game ruled.

I played Chrono Cross first... perhaps they could do Cross and then prequel it with trigger or something? The way the game was set up it seems like cross would kinda suck/you already know what is gonna happen if you played chrono trigger first.

OOT has to be the answer.
2 people who met online, courted by sending pictures they drew in MS Paint to each other, and in the end hook up. Substories on the characters: The male of this couple was all confrence in 95, the female is played by the winner of miss OOT. Plot: People meet up in real life, go to the zoo where animal fights break out, where they witness animal fights. Later they go to an underground melee where people are betting on how many 5 year olds than can fight at once and carrying out the action on a fenced in bball court.

I think God of War (I played this on the PS2) would make a decent movie if it was done well. The cut scenes in the game are epic and would be a good story board to start with as you try and fill in the gaps and develop the plot.
