WSOP Live Webcast?

I went to bluffmagazine.com and I clicked on a pop-up for www.e-pokerusa.com that said "free subscription to The WSOP Live Webcast." Is this ture that there is a WSOP Live Webcast? It say that you would get 17 video events, 13 audio events, daily updates, interviews with poker's top stars and much more from this Live Webcast for free. Is say it is a pay-per-view event that would cost $49.95 and it is free. If this is right can some one tell me where I could buy the webcast without signing up for this website. Thanks for any help

Re: WSOP Live Webcast?

There is supposed to be a 30 minute delay on the live webcast. I guess a bunch of the name players are a little pissed off and want the delay to be something like three to five hours which seems reasonable to me.

It does to me,too. I would not want to webcast to show my cards just on a 30 minute delay. Do you know where i could buy this?

Can’t say that I do but Matusow says on the Mouthpiece that the company that is showing the webcast paid a bunch of money for the rights and is the entity pushing for the 30 minute delay as opposed to a 5 hour delay.

It seems strange that Bluff's site has the ad, but the site in question has no mention of this offer, yet. Seeing how unpopular "duplicate poker" is, seems like a shifty way to get some new members (and deposits).

There's now more information about the promotion for the "free" WSOP webcast on the site mentioned in the OP. It also will include the WSOP Circuit events as well as the WSOP-Europe events.

I watched the ME final table live stream online at ESPN.com. Just logged in and brought up the webcast. To me that was kind of telling anyone who paid for it they were stupid for doing so.

Re: WSOP Live Webcast?

This would have been the easiest sale in the history of anything if the HORSE FT was on the broadcast list. Upon looking I just saw a slew of $1500-$2500 NL FT's.

EDIT: Here's a link to the FT's that will be broadcasted on the webcast. It's really underwhelming with no HORSE and no 5K HU and I guess they want to sell the ME seperate.

Anyone know what channel Sirius this is on? According to the schedule, there should be a broadcast on right now, but I can't find it anywhere.

Re: WSOP Live Webcast?

Good question, as I purchased the stream as well, I don't think they're setting up the login for the video stream until Wednesday. You can listen to the online audio at http://www.live365.com/play/bluffmedia

PokeReader 06-05-2007 12:52 AM

Re: WSOP Live Webcast?

That's right, webcasts don't start till Wednesday, but they have been doing radio broadcasts of the final tables. Off day tomorrow, don't know why when it's the busiest WSOP day ever. You can listen to the radio broadcasts without a code by going to,
http://www.bluffmagazine.com/radio/, and clicking on media player. They don't seem to be archived, but they do have some interviews available with video on the main site,
http://www.worldseriesofpoker.com/mediacenter/video.asp
They don't seem to be webcasting ESPN broadcast events, but some of them are radio broadcast.

Anyone notice that the Main Event isn't included on the webcast schedule? I guess they're charging extra for it.

BenTurpen 06-06-2007 05:36 AM

Re: WSOP Live Webcast?

No scheduled ESPN events are going to be streamed with hole cards. Most of those will have live audio. It figures last night(event #4), the most solid final so far, and no coverage. Although the Omaha/Stud final was really solid as well, but they won't be broadcasting any mixed games other than the 50k HORSE I believe.

Kevmath 06-06-2007 09:34 AM

Re: WSOP Live Webcast?

They've got enough trouble commentating for holdem events, do you really want to hear them try and cover Omaha/Studd and Razz?

From Pokernews.com- Event #6 Final Table Will Be Reported on a One-Hour Delay
The final table for Event #6 ($1,500 Limit Hold'em) is the first one that will be broadcast over the web at WorldSeriesOfPoker.com, and it raises some interesting issues.

Unfortunately, we won't be able to report live, but we will be reporting on the same one-hour delay as the webcast. So stay tuned to PokerNews.com for complete hand-by-hand coverage of the final table.

I guess that it will be on a one-hour delay.

Re: WSOP Live Webcast?

Why don't they just turn the commentators off and let us listen to the director call the action?

One thing during the live audio that pissed me off, is you could hear the calling of the action, but the announcers would be talking about something irrelevant over it, probably trying to figure out how many outs the guy had with his flush draw.

Who in thier right mind would pay to watch a live ace rag internet championship formly known as the wsop main event.

Does anyone know if Sirius is broadcasting from the WSOP this year? I know the WSOP claims they are, but I've been up and down all the Sirius channels the past few nights and haven't seen nary a WSOP broadcast.

Couldn't tell you what channel, don't get Sirius, however if you go to http://www.bluffmagazine.com/radio/ you can log on to the broadcast from the internet, and they also have a Sirius logo. If you click on it you may find out the schedule/channel. Good luck.

The site's down I suppose?

I tried to register today (Edog and Negreanu FT obv) and every time I fill out everything and click "register" it goes to a "This page cannot be displayed at this time" error message.

My internet connection is fine so this must be a problem with the site...anyone having similar issues?

If you mean the final table of the Main Event, there will be a separate $20 PPV/stream for that.

Tonight's 5k event was free.

Re: WSOP Live Webcast?

Why have WSOP not uploaded the 5k event to the archives... I feel cheated having put up 50$ when I could have watched it for free. I went to bed (living in Denmark, Europe) thinking that I could see the re-run the day after, but now two days later, it's still not to be found on the WSOP site.

Lousy ineffective Harrah's...
