What should go in the FAQ?

I've been away and busy with work lately, but that's no excuse not to update our FAQ. So, please post links or short blurbs in here that you think should go in the sticky and I'll add them as I see fit!

basically anything that people new to fitness and exercise are all going to ask and that the more experienced and knowledgeable posters get tired of saying should go in the FAQ

Re: What should go in the FAQ?

What is HIIT, how do you do it, etc etc.

HIIT seems to be a favorite on this forum, so might as well add it so we don't have people asking a lot

Re: What should go in the FAQ?

Since nutrition is really more important than your workout routine, I think there should be more useful information about it. Like this article: http://www.t-nation.com/readTopic.do?id=460638

Also, it'd be nice to list the major extra-2p2 sources of information like bodybuilding.com, t-nation, etc.

Re: What should go in the FAQ?

kyle,

Most of the above links are good.

Some other stuff:
>Crossfit link and description
>Organizing the lifting links by beginner, intermediate, advanced etc
>Nutrition: BMR/Calorie calculators, Berardi's rules, PWO
>A section on why it's essential to do lower-body/posterior chain work
>Basic supplements and whey protein reviews
>HIIT, Starting Strength, 5x5, streching (done above)
>Stuff on recovery
>A note on "toning"
>Fat-loss tips (I think there were a couple of threads with more help than "eat less")
>O-lifting and links to form videos

There must be quite a lot of 'computer guys' reading this forum. The advice in those articles is excellent.

People seem to be under the impression that a million reps in an ab workout is a good thing.

[/ QUOTE ]Or more broadly I think this link should be included: http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/bbmaintrain.htm

It leads to the abdominal link.

Actually include

http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/bbmainnut.htm

and

http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/bbmainsupp.htm

and that's pretty much all you need in the FAQ.

Unfortunately since bodybuilding.com is also a store they don't make their homepage very intuitive.
