how much time do you have to learn? it's just a formula and incredibly easy if you put some time into it.

Re: $1k rubick cube prop bet

I knew how to do it beforehand, took me about 8hours to figure it out for the first time.

Also, this should probbably be in BBV4L.

I'm no expert at the thing, but I can usually do it in under 2mins. It wasn't a sure thing, but I was pretty confident.

about how long does it take from having no clue how to do a rubik's cube to doing it in say under 10 minutes, assuming i am using an online guide?

and does anyone have a good site for learning this from scratch?

Once you figure out how the thing moves, I'd assume you could just follow the algorithms and solve it right away.

And no, I didn't figure it out entirely on my own. A friend showed me how to complete the final layer, which is ridiculously difficult, IMO.

yeah, my problem is the wikipedia uses a bit of notation which becomes are to follow and visualize, i dont seem to own a rubik's cube so im using a virtual one for now until i can obtain one

i learned a method online that had me doing it in about 5 minutes. and i was pretty slow with my twists. but it was convenient cause i only needed to learn maybe 5 sequences for the difficult moves

there are many methods which can get you under a minute that are more complex

Re: $1k rubick cube prop bet

I was taught how to solve the Rubik's Cube by my friend using just a few algorithms. After a week of doing it just randomly, I could do it in about a minute or so... so this bet isn't that hard.

I can only solve the cube one way, too. If you know a couple algorithms for each step, you can solve it way faster.

Was this bet like, "I bet you can't do it in under 2 minutes right now" or did you have some time to practice? With practice this would be absurdly easy, methinks.

Re: $1k rubick cube prop bet

I've only been able to solve it a few times and didn't realize the pattern any of those times I did it. Doesn't using a guide or knowing the algorithm beforehand take a lot of the fun out of it?

him: done.
