So the WPT has gone from a "soft porn" performer (Shana) to a stiff/plastic newswoman (Courtney) to someone's kid sister (Sabina) to a slutty lingerie pinup girl (Layla) within 3 years.

Time will tell whether Layla will be worth the money...

Let's see if Layla Kayleigh is more than a nice rack.

I think she'll do fine. I like her on Attack of the Show. In terms of G4 though, Morgan Webb is much better.

I watched some of her interviews on her site, and she has a wicked English accent. If you like accents, she will be great for tv.

Downside: she gets very defensive when someone tries to hit on her. Ruh roh devilfish.

There is a Layla Kayleigh interview up on http://www.cardplayer.com/tv . She says that she only found out how to play poker last summer, since having a playing card as a child would have yielded "a proper spanking". Perhaps they could incorporate this into the show somehow.

Okay, so I'm nitting it up here but I don't understand why they don't get somebody who, oh I don't know, actually knows anything about poker perhaps?

Am I the only one who doesn't really care how they look and would just like to see someone who can conduct a half-competent interview or introduce the show without looking like they are struggling to make their way through the cue-cards?

Michelle Tafoya, Doris Burke and Holly Rowe types on ESPN aren't exactly super-model material but they carry themselves well on camera and can conduct an interview.

Blonde ditzes trying to report on the sidelines and failing miserably do little more than tick me off.

I don't understand.. What is everyone looking for in a hostess because it seems no matter who they get to replace the last one, she's never good enough for you guys. You all probably have high standards, but this girl seems pretty amazing to me..
Also, what does the hostess do anyway? Does there even need to be one?

Disproportionately young male audience for poker on TV says: yes, most people do care how they look.

But I agree there have been a lot of eye-candy women on poker shows that can't even conduct an interview without it being embarrasing.

And there are a few who can look and sound good: Vicky Coren, that woman who was on PokerDome, etc.
