I'm spending six weeks (June 30-Aug 11) studying abroad in Cuernavaca, Mexico. It is a few hours southwest of Mexico City.

Called the "City of Eternal Spring" because of its elevation and constantly temperate climate.

Anyone have any tips for travel within Mexico (i.e. not Cancun, Tijuana, Acapulco, etc)? What can I expect? What should I know about Mexico City? Anything?

looking for summer work in the bay area. PM me and we will talk.

Other than that my summer plans include, hopefully:
-a martial art
-mountain biking
-live poker, including hopefully a bay area homegame
-lots of san francisco restaurants
-barbecues
-3-week trip from SoCal through state parks up to Canada where will backpack for hopefully 10daysish.
-2-wee trip to Virginia to visit dad and younger brother/sister.

this summer, like many summers before, i'll be working on cd recordings

this time though it's going to cost hardly anything and deliver more

end of summer: first foreign gigs in London & Manchester (im from NL)

in between: maybe go to vegas + visit NY (would be my 1st US visit)

rest of the time: working my ass off setting up businesses

This will be my first summer that isn't a "summer" as I've come to know and love them thanks to having a real job. That sucks, but I'm closing on my condo July 15th, and that is cool.

Gonna try and spend all summer Grinding .5/1 (and up in theory), and hopefully make it to 30K. Then fly to brazil and spend 8 months backpacking up to my hometown of Vancouver.

Ok, this is a good place to post this:

I graduated with my bachelors in business from UGA. Moved out to Reno, and am starting a job on Wednesday that a high school grad could get.

Although, I am working for Southwest airlines, which is a kick ass company to work for.

Anyone work or have worked for Southwest? Anyone taken a job out of college that they could have had if they didn't even go to college? Happy stories please.

I worked on a golf course for a year and a half after graduate school. Then cards for a while, then $9/hr admin asst to a small business. Then I moved to another city with no job and ended up where I am now, which is doing something I probably could have done a week after I graduated college. But I met cool people and got to F around through most of my twenties without the soul-crushing constraints of the 9-5.

I am going to be spending 4 weeks in London attending the London School of Economics from June 23 to July 21. Pretty excited as I have never been to Europe. Plus I love British accents and hear the girls are somewhat easy.

you'll have a great time, London is fantastic. just be prepared to spend a lot, London is literally 2x as expensive as even expensive American cities (Boston, for instance)
